AFFIDAVIT

I GRACE KAVIRA of C/o Refugee Law Project Plot 6 & 7 Coronation road, Old Kampala, P.O.Box
33903, Kampala Uganda do solemnly swear and state as follows;
1. That I am an adult female Congolese citizen of sound mind with refugee status in
Uganda ,the applicant herein and swear this affidavit in that capacity,(Attached hereto
is a copy of my Refugee Identity Card marked Annexure ‘A’)
2. That I am above 18 years having been born on 6th May, 2000 to Mr. Katembo Honore
and Madam Bora Uzima in Butembo Town, Democratic Republic of Congo.
3. That I am single and I have not contracted any marriage with any person within or
outside Uganda.
4. That I am not blood related to my fiancée and therefore there is no impediment of
kindred or affinity or any other lawful hindrance to this marriage.
5. That I freely consent to this marriage.
6. That I have been a resident of Kibuye 11 Parish ,Makindye division ,Kampala District,
Uganda for the last fifteen days, (Attached is a copy of introduction letter from L.C. 1
letter marked Annexure ‘B’)
7. That i make this affidavit verily knowing and believing its contents to be true to the best
of my knowledge as disclosed.
