Mgt. 304 – International Business and Trade
First Semester, A.Y. 2023-2024
Required:
1. Use 8.5” x 11” bond paper.
2. Observe proper margin left 1.5”; right, top and bottom 1’.
3. Use 1.5 spacing, Arial font style and 12 font sizes.
4. Should follow the required content of a Research Article Critique.
5. Avoid plagiarism; make sure of your original work; answers will be checked through “Turnitin” also.

Formatting Article Critique

I. Introduction
Begin by noting the areas where the study in your critique succeeds or fails most remarkably while giving reasons
to support your stand.
II. Research Article Critique
Start all the body paragraphs with topic sentences that help to summarize the paragraph’s content readers should
expect to come. Give the key points of the research article and indicate the perceived success of an article and
analyze its strengths and weaknesses. Focus your discussion on how this study contributes in flattening the world
through international business and trade. Analyze each important and interesting point and develop an explanation
of the paper.
III. Critique Summary
Summarize and evaluate the value of the study, stating whether you agree or disagree with the author, with
supporting evidence (other related journals that must be used as citation). A summary of a research article requires
you to share the key points of the article so your reader can get a clear picture of what the research article is about,
argument presented, and findings of the article. The main focus should be on your evaluation and analysis of the
research itself.

IV. Conclusion
Close with a comment about the significance of the research or a statement of future research needed in the field
of international business and trade.
Tips:
1. Although called a ‘critique’, a research study critique does not only give critical and negative feedback on a paper. A
good critique should include both positive praise and negative criticism for a particular work.
2. Use direct quotations of the author’s work where appropriate to avoid accusations of plagiarism.
3. Write the critique in the third person.
