Tournament Rules
SYSTEM OF PLAY:
The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE laws of chess and FIDE
Swiss System with 9 rounds.
REPORTING TIME:
All players should report at 9.00 am. Tournament will start at 9.30 am.
Prize distribution at 7 pm
TIME CONTROL:
10 minutes + 5 seconds increment from move 1 for entire game.
TIE BREAK:
In case of a tie, the following tie break rules shall come in effect.
1. Buchholz cut 1
2. Buchholz
3. SB
4. Direct Encounter
5. Greater number of wins (including forfeit points)
6. Greater number of wins with black
AICF and MCA registration for 2023-2024 is mandatory for players
willing to participate.
AICF renewal and new player registration is compulsory to all.

• No request towards waiver of entry fee will be entertained.
• Entry fees once paid will not be refunded.
• Registration closes on 5th August 2023, thereafter late fees of Rs. 300/- applicable.
