Researcher: the first question is your mental health?
Participant: Ngayon, yung mental health ko ay okay naman, papaano kasi na-ha-handle
naman yung mga sitwasyon kaya ganun din yung mental health na-ba-balance lahat ng
problema kaya okay naman ngayon.
Researcher: For the last four weeks, did you feel tired out for no good reason? Please
elaborate.
Participant: Yes, minsan nararanasan dahil syempre as practice teachers marami kaming
trabaho. Then kahit sabihin mo minsan na may pahinga kami, pakiramdam mo pagod ka
parin dahil yung utak mo ay nag-iisip parin ng mg susunod na gagawin.
Researcher: How often did you feel nervous? What are the usual reasons?
Participant: Madalas kapag mag-start na yung pagtuturon namin kada haharap kami sa
mga students naming online man or face-to-face.
Researcher: Did you feel so nervous that nothing could calm you down?
Participant: Minsan, nakakaranas din. Talagang grabe yung kabe kasi mahiyain ako e.
Kaya sobrang hirap sakin ng trabaho bilang teacher talaga.
Researcher: For the last four weeks, did you feel hopeless?
Participant: Hindi naman. Kase kaya pa talaga. Yung trabaho kasi namin, kapag talaga
marunong ka mag-balance magagawa mo talaga kahit sobrang bigat pero di pa naman na-
feel hopeless.
Researcher: For the last four weeks, did you feel so sad that nothing could cheer you up?

Participant: Hindi naman dahil katulad lang din ng sinabi ng aking mga co-PT’s meron
kaming mga support system sa mga ano namin, mga co-PT’s, teacher namin, yung
supervisor namin na si ma’am Mau, chini-cheer up niya kami pag nagkakaroon kami ng
consultation, ganon din yung family namin, and then si God.
Researcher: For the last four weeks, how often did you feel worthless? What are the
usual reasons?
Participant: Hindi naman. Hindi naman worthless
Researcher: Can you share your exposure and utilization of social media?
Participant: Yung exposure ko sa social media nung nagging PT kasi kami ay hindi nag
anon ka grabe yung exposure ko kasi yung sarili ko ngayon mas fino-focus ko sa
paggawa ng PowerPoint, kaya yung time naming sa social media hindi nag anon kadami.

Researcher: What social media do you usually use most?


Participant: Facebook.
Researcher: How much time in a day do you spend using social media?
Participant: Ngayon siguro nasa 4 hours nay yung pinaka-matagal pag walang
ginagawa.
Researcher: What are your usual activities done on social media?
Participant: Manonood ng mga videos, nagbabasa ng mga memes o yung mga articles,
minsan nag sha-share din ng stories ganon.
Researcher: Is there a feeling that you cannot sustain or complete the day without using
social media? When and how?
Participant: Hindi naman.
Researcher: How do social media affect you?
Participant: Kasi social media, sobrang importante na satin nagyon niyan e, talagang
hindi na nawala sa buhay ng tao yan. Ang effect nito sakin minsan kasi nakakatulong siya
para amging positive yung mood mo nakakanood ka kasi ng mga video and then
nakakabasa ka ng mga memes. Kahit papaano yung mood mo nagiging good pero
syempre may negative parin naman yon kapag sobra kang na-expose sa social media
Researcher: In what ways that social media affect your thoughts? How about your
decision and mental health?

Participant: Siguro yung social media naapektuha niya yung aking thoughts kapag
masyado akong nakakbasa ng mga fake news. Nakaka-experience tayo ngayon niyan e
yung puro fake news yung nasa Facebook nga naman na kadalasan bigla tayong nag-sha-
share din kahit di naman nain nalalaman kung talagang toto yung isang picture o isang
article sa news na nasa Facebook ganon.
Researcher: Does your life be more productive when using social media? Why or why
not?
Participant: Tingin ko hindi kasi kapag sobra akong ne-expose ako sa social media
talagang tumitigil yung mundo ko na parang wala nang mangayare o wala nang
trabahong kasunod.
Researcher: Do you feel happy and excited when using social media? Why or why not?
Participant: Minsan kapag talaga sobrang free mo syempre parang feel mo karapatan mo
namang mag enjoy na mag scroll ka sa social media ganon. Then syempre ma-fe-feel mo
na happy ka kasi parang deserve mo pero pag talagang sobrang bothered din ng isip mot
as nag social media ka, hindi rin talaga okay.
Researcher: Are there instances in that you based your decision and thoughts on Social
media?
Participant: Hindi naman masyado kasi hindi na nga ako ganon ka-expose masyado sa
Facebook and sa social media
Researcher: As a student, based on your experience, how do you perceive the influence
of social media on your mental health?
Participant: Kasi meron nga siyang negative at positive effects nga naman kasi depende
kung paano mo gagamitin yung social media nayon; kung masyado kang magpapalamon
sa systema ng social media and then yung mga nababasa tas yun yung i-a-apply mo sa
sarili mo talagang negative. Pero kung marunong kang mag time management, kumbaga
hindi mo masyadong inuubos yung oras mo sa pag-scroll sa social media, syempre yung
body mo magiging healthy paring anon din yung mental health mo.
