INTRODUCTION

"Everything is always created twice, first in the mind and then in reality." A
student's knowledge gained from college professors is insufficient when learned
solely through pure imagination. That is why an internship or the so called OJT
(On-the Job Training) is created. On-the-job training (OJT) is a part of the
curriculum that immerses students in work settings related to their subject of
study. This seeks to educate and orient students about their chosen profession
while also demonstrating the realities of working in order for them to obtain
knowledge and appreciation for the job. Furthermore, this is an important
component of the course because it helps students develop professional
abilities and prepares them for the actual world of work.

The College of Accountancy and Business Management Education of

Central Mindanao Colleges requires its students to undergo a total of 600 hours
training as part of their course curriculum which can be consists of course-
related webinars and actual practice in the workplace. Course-related
webinars are events held virtually which tackles different course-related topics
that primarily aimed to add knowledge and learnings that can greatly
contribute to the future career of the students. On the other hand, actual
practice consists of a minimum of 320 hours training in the chosen agency. This
way, it enables students to gain real-world experience and apply knowledge
and concepts gained in the classroom.

SUMMARY OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS

People gain confidence and motivation as a result of their achievements

and efforts. I as an intern from the Central Mindanao Colleges CABME

Department benefited greatly from my internship journey at the Cooperative

Bank of Cotabato (CBC)- Head Office because I gained valuable work

experience, fulfilled a college requirement, and exposed to many aspects of

full-time employment while allowing to explore my interests and formulate my

personal career goals.

By assisting in the improvement of company productivity, the interns of the

CBC-Head office contributed to the organization's productivity and growth.

Interns provide an extra pair of hands to help achieve goals and complete

CONCLUSION

On-the-job training allows students to prepare for and gain experience in

their chosen profession. The training at the Head Office of the Cooperative Bank
of Cotabato is a hands-on approach to learning new skills and competencies
for a vocation in a real-world situation. The learners had a variety of experiences
throughout their training days. These experiences benefit the trainees since they
learn how to apply their varied ideas in a live-work practice or training
environment. This experience would be extremely beneficial to inexperienced
learners in terms of learning the necessary information, abilities, and
competences to complete the work activities associated with their function.
