AFFIDAVIT OF SERVICE
I, JOHN REY M. LACSI, of legal age, Filipino, single and with residence
address at Barangay Bagumbayan, Masbate City, Masbate, subscribing under oath,
depose and state:

1. I work as Messenger at Labao Law Office, with office address at

Medina Street corner Rosero Street, JT Fernandez, Masbate City, Masbate.

2. On 26 May 2023, I served a copy of Appellees’ Brief through

personal service to Atty. Melody May Omelan-Arguelles (“Atty. Omelan”),
counsel for the defendants-appellants, through her representative, Aileen D.
Guban, in the case entitled “Heirs of Chuchie A. Faustino, et. al., plaintiffs-
appellees v. MASELCO, et. al., defendants-appellants,” docketed as CA-G.R. CV
No. 119024, pending before the Court of Appeals.

3. On said date, I personally went to the office of Atty. Omelan in

Tiongson Subdivision, Brgy. Ibingay, Masbate City, to serve her a copy of said
pleading. However, nobody was around to receive said pleading. Our office called
Atty. Omelan about the pleading to be served upon her and she responded that I
can have it received by Aileen D. Guban (Ms. Guban) who then was at the IBP-
Masbate Office, Bulwagan ng Katarungan, Masbate City.

4. Thereafter, I went to see Ms. Guban at her office and she personally
received a copy of said pleading for and on behalf of Atty. Omelan. I personally
know Ms. Guban as she had previously received pleadings intended for Atty.
Omelan coming from Labao Law Office in other cases where Atty. Omelan is the
opposing counsel of clients of Labao Law Office.

5. I am executing this Affidavit to attest to the truth of the foregoing.
