SYSTEM OF EARTH
These four subsystems are called
"spheres." Specifically, they are the
"geosphere" (land), "hydrosphere"
(water), "biosphere" (living things), and
"atmosphere" (air).
ATMOSPHERE
The atmoshphere is the
mixture of air and gases. That
protects us from UV rays,
helps us breath, and regulates
the tempreature. It consists of
troposphere, stratosphere,
mesosphere, thermosphere
and exosphere
GEOSPHERE HYDROSPHERE
About 70% of the Earth's
The geosphere is the portion of the
earth that includes rocks and surface is covered by liquid
minerals. It starts at the ground and water, which is referred to as
extends all the way down to Earth's the hydrosphere. Freshwater,
core. We rely on the geosphere to which may be found in rivers,
provide natural resources and a lakes, and groundwater, makes
place to grow food up a very small percentage of
the water on Earth
BIOSPHERE
The biosphere is a large-scale
ecosystem made up of living
things (biota) and the nonliving
(abiotic) elements that supply
them with food and energy. The
biosphere is a constrained area
of the earth's surface where soil,
water, and air work together to
support life. Only within this
region is life possible
