Why is the human being dreadfully bad at doing what’s best for

him/her?

Well, it comes down to the reward system which is a double-edged

sword. It is designed to do things that are good for us and that
progresses our species but it also grabs unto things that make us feel
good such as maladaptive behaviors, substances, and many more.

“There’s a challenge behind that, a problem that must be solved, and can
only be solved by the individual himself by teaching himself to optimise
the reward system unto doing what is good for us, what progresses us,
and for making the best choices for the best possible future aimed at the
Highest Possible Goal of the Highest Possible Good.”

The problem is the latter. What is the solution for it? By adapting a mode
of Being that is disciplined, loves effort and friction, resilient and gritty,
and that cares about the Highest Possible Good and acts towards it.

Practice mindfulness.
How can you love effort and friction?

Beginning Phase
Stress and Agitation Phase
DPO or Intense Focus Phase
- in this phase, as your effort
progresses through the
noradrenaline in your system
accumulates which hampers
your brain system. Therefore,
disrupting your cognitive
control and deliberate control
which leads you to quit. But
thankfully, Mother Nature
designed the dopaminergic
system which is tethered to
states of focus in order for us
to continue those rewarded
behaviors.

But the problem is that the human being seems to reward maladaptive
behaviors more easily than the adaptive behaviors. Why? My theory is
because of the adrenaline system which causes stress and agitation
which leads us to quit because we are not accepting it as part of that
learning process and that we don’t enjoy it or associate the
dopaminergic system unto it. Thus, we are more inclined to do the
easier things which by chance are maladaptive behaviors.

How can we solve it?

By enjoying the process (rewarding ourselves as we accomplish

milestones or micro-goals) and the acceptance of stress and agitation as
an entry point for change. - Loving Effort and Friction

What’s the best possible change?

The human being doing his best (growth mindset) in moving forward
towards his aim on the Highest Possible Good of the Highest Possible
Goal.
But what does doing one’s best means?

It is using optimally brain functionality, loving effort and friction. It is

converging the norepinephrine system - level of agitation, acetylcoline
system - duration, path, outcome, and the dopamine system - rewarding
oneself internally when achieving goals inside of goals (microgoals or
milestones).

People can really good at things by doing his best!

How to use the brain’s functionality optimally? How can one teach
himself to do that?
