DESCRIPTION & APPLICATION

CHRIOX 15 is a concentrated disinfectant based on peracetic acid characterized by a high efficacy to


use in dairy, beverage and food processing industries

CHRIOX 15 is effective against all types of microorganism such as bacteria, yeasts, moulds and
including spores

CHRIOX 15 is also characterized by an excellent virucidal activity

The microbicidal activity of CHRIOX 15 has been confirmed according to different methods including
EN 1276, EN 13697, EN 1650, EN 13704

CHRIOX 15 is a not foaming and easy to rinse product suitable for any type of disinfection procedure,
including CIP and mechanical washing

Peracetic acid (CAS number 79-21-0), contained in CHRIOX 15, is authorized by FDA (US Food and
Drug Administration) for direct contact in the water wash of fruit and vegetables (21CFR173.315) and
is approved as a sanitizer for food contact surfaces (21CFR 178.1010)

USE INSTRUCTIONS

CHRIOX 15 is used at a concentration between 0,1% and 0,4% at room temperature


Respect a contact time with the treated surfaces of at least 5 minutes
Before disinfection make sure that the surfaces have been cleaned
Rinse thoroughly after use and ensure that all product residues and soil particles are removed

MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY
When is used according to the recommended use instructions, CHRIOX 15 can be used on materials
commonly used in the food industry with the exception of mild steel, carbon steel, copper and its
alloys and galvanized materials

ENVIRONMENT
CHRIOX 15 does not contain any chlorine and hence there is no risk of the formation of organic
adsorbable halogens (AOX)
CHRIOX 15 is readily biodegradable

SAFETY
According to the CLP Regulation CHRIOX 15 is classified HAZARDOUS
Hazard classification (CLP): H242 - H 290 - H302+332 - H314 - H335 - H 410

Without different instructions, do not mix CHRIOX 15 with other products

Carefully read the material safety data sheet of CHRIOX 15 and follow the chemical handling and
disposal guidance

STORAGE
Store, for maximum 1 year, CHRIOX 15 in its original packaging between -20°C and 30°C
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight
