A Day Without Electricity

Since the invention of electricity, we have been so dependent on it that we can't live our lives in
prosperity.
We have been surrounded by electric appliances powered by electricity.
It also allows us to power various technologies that we use every day.
Without electricity, we would not be able to carry out the task easily.
Knowing that it has become an essential part of our life, imagine how it would be to live a day without
electricity.
It was on the 23rd of July that I had to experience a day without electricity.
That day, as I woke up to follow my daily routine, I was informed by my parents that the electricity had
gone off due to heavy rain which was happening throughout the month. The moment I got to know about
this, I thought my life would come to a standstill. We couldn't use phones, TV, fan, and many other
electrical appliances that we were dependent on.
Moreover, there was no WIFI, which made our lives miserable. The AC was not working and I was
sweating profusely the whole time. It felt like agony.
Then, when I got hungry, I headed towards the fridge to eat ice cream but then I realized that the ice
cream had all gone melted as the fridge was not working. Moreover, we could not heat any food in the
microwave.
We were just hoping the whole time for the electricity to return.
Then the next morning the electricity had returned.
Since that day we decided that we had to not be dependent on electricity every time. We disputed how we
should use electricity, and how to be dependent on things that run without electricity. Another noticeable
thing that I learned from that day is that electricity is a very crucial and vital resource that we can use.
