Electricity In Nowadays
How has the electric telephone changed our
lives?
The first mobiles that came out in the 1980 and they were massive,
and never attracted you to buy one because it was not that colorful or it
was too big. But now the phones are lighter and you cant feel them that
you are holding something. And it can be less than 1 quarter of your
hand, now there is a camera on the phone and you don’t need to hold a
second electrical device with you to take a photo. Nowadays the phone
cameras are better than the cameras itself. This changed all the peoples
life's and hold one were ever they go and compete with others to have a
better phone. Now a lot of people can stay home and talk to others by
their phone while they are at there home, and that is liked by all the
people because they don’t have to go at there house and talk face to
face for example. Now you call for emergency you can contact a friend
over sea, further more other people get loved from the telephone.
How has electricity changed the way in
which we travel?
Electricity can change everything and it has changed the way we
travel. Now we travel with luxury on an airplane with televisions and
nice comfortable seats. Also the flight is quick and eg. You can go
from Cyprus to England only in 4 hours and 30 minutes.
But another way of which we travel in our every day life are the cars,
which you can use, and not wait for the bus like in the old days or
travel with the donkey. People want to buy the best looking car from
the thousand that come out every year, not like before that might
have been one, but only the rich people could afford to buy one.
An other way to travel is a motorbike which is really dangerous and
if you drive one you put your life in danger because they go high
speed.
There a lot of ways that people can travel and are in spite because
people have changed and are bored to walk from there house to there
neighbors house not like before when people walked for kilometers.
 How has electricity change the way we
communicate?
By every house having electricity is good
since you have a better and cheaper way to
communicate with over sea people or your
neighbor by using the computer and
searching on certain sights you can talk
free, it is the same as the phone, the only
difference it is bigger and it is a keyboard,
if you do not have the new computers
which are touch screen.
A phone is a really good and helpful
object when you have a business and you
wait for 100 phone calls every day.
Before you had to meet up with who
ever you want because there was not
another way to communicate, or even
earlier when phones came out the ordinary
people could not buy it only the rich
people because they were really expensive.
 How has electricity changed what we do for
entertaiment?
Entertainment is not only when you go in
the yards and play football or basketball.
Now you can seat on a chair and play football
but not using your feet using a control and a
game console and connect it on the TV, and
play just by looking TV.
There are a lot of game consoles which
you can connect on the TV and play, or even
inserting a disc in your computer and
playing from there.
But technology is trying to get over
everything since game consoles now, there
are not controllers which are wireless but, by
holding a controller and moving it acts out
your acts and get moved on the game on the
game consoles. This game is could wii and is
even more better technology.
 How is electricity used in medical treatments?
Electricity is used every were and
surely in the medical state, and it is
needed for every patient in nowadays.
It is like the left hand of the doctor the
electric machines. Electricity in the
medical treatment it is really
important, those machines save life's,
like machines that take the heart rate
and give complete detail. There are
more medical machines for every
different treatment that the patient
wants.
Now as the technology passes by
having electricity there will not be any
doctors and the machines will do the
surgery, and they will be more efficient
than the doctors.
 How does electricity make your day different
from a students in Africa?
Schools are all well involved with
electricity by using computers and
interactive whiteboards, which a
student in Africa have never saw one
because it is a LIC and there are poor
and cannot afford to buy a computer or
even the schools having electricity that
we have.
A student from a HIC has a totally
different day from a student of Africa
since you can go home watch some
television while you have a rest, and
then start working but working on the
laptop or the computer, by chatting
with your friend, but also doing your
assignments.
 What would we do if , all of a sudden, nothing
electrical worked?
If nothing electrical worked that could be a
disaster on all the earth and would be like everything
is destroyed, because the traffic will not be able to
move because there are not traffic lights. The disaster
will take place since there will be car accidents.
Further more without electricity in the house that
means there will not be any lights and the candles will
start to melt as they are needed in the dark.
There will not be any televisions for
entertainment and people would want to bang there
heads on the wall. A lot of teenagers will think it is the
end of their world without chat or facebook.
I wouldn’t take it that serious because I really
don’t spent my day with things that need electricity,
and I wouldn’t mind that much, but I would mind if
my favorite TV show would be on, but I couldn’t see it.
