Well I have given it a thought and I have been trying to cope up with the stress and for me I
dont think it would affect my future in anyway.
It depends on how I deal with all my issues and try to overcome it.

Yes, thoughts about stress affecting my performance right now or even affecting me generally
and hence directly or indirectly having an impact on my future are quite frequent. But it is
usually more of the inverse type, as in stress births because of tensions related to the future.

11. What advice would you give to other adolescents dealing with stress?
33 responses
Never hold on to your thoughts for long... Share it with anyone. Always seek help before its too
late
You should share your problems with someone whom you think can understand you.
Better start working rather than stressing. Stress will decrease your health and will result in
time loss as well.
Find some extra curricular activity like thing or some calm place to slow down and never ever
think of self harm as you never know what great things future has in store for you. Punishment
does encourage one to improve but self harm is totally different....pls think about what your
😊
parents and PPL who love u wud feel if smth were to happen to you....love isn't always physical
and perceived by the eyes merely....one should keep that in mind
To talk to the ones whom you trust and can tell anything
Find someone (good if it's an adult) who is willing to listen to you and help you approach a
professional in case you don't have the means to
The most important thing is to be vocal about your feelings or mental health, be it your friends
family or teachers. Talking to people who can guide you better can solve most of the problems
which we at times hesitate to do during adolescence.
I'd advice them to believe in themselves and no matter what happens they shouldn't have
unhealthy coping mechanism.
Accept that there are instances you can't control, it's not always colours and rainbows.
Identify the cause.
TRY to be calm.
Seek help.
Don't take Tension/ Pressure. Give your maximum effort and leave it to God.
Stop overthinking
Stress is something you have to deal with, so learn to manage it your own way by indulging in
recreational activities. If you maximise the proper usage of the available time, you will always
find time for enjoyment.
Believe in yourself
It is important to find healthy coping mechanisms. You can practice self care for example or
listen to music, excercise. Try reaching out for support from family, friends or councellors.
It is a hard time but it will pass. Believe in the me that believes in you.

Live in the now; there is no way to change the past, so stop thinking about it. Similarly, there is
no way to foresee the future; no one can know what will occur. Savor every second of
existence. Don't worry about what people may say about you; it's all bullshit. They won't be
interested in what you are doing if they have accomplished anything amazing in their lives. So
do whatever you love.
Not to focus more on the issue/problem that is causing stress but to focus more on how it can
be reduce and solved out. Or talk about it with someone always.
I would say that nobody can ever be truly the reason for your happiness but you, and nobody
can get enough of expecting certain things from other people. So instead of picking out
persons to satisfy, it is much easier and more convenient to just satisfy and do good for your
own self.

15. How does your gender identity influence the stress you experience during
adolescence?
33 responses
I am a male and the societal expectations are really a big deal for me as most of the time they
expect you to be successful and it adds alot of pressure on me.
I think girls and boys I have stress because of different issues in the reference of social
pressure
Very Much
Gender biased people just make life difficult for themselves....if physically interrupting then ofc
that is to be handled cleverly.
It never mattered.
Not much
No
Generally our societal expectations are different when it comes to the gender identity. So at
some point those expectations leads to stress during adolescence due to lack of confidence to
discuss about the same with anyone.
Not really. Being a girl has taught me to supress certain activities as reactions
It
Being a male, we are forced to fulfill all expectations and achieve a goal decided by the parents
as a future career
Very much
I am a girl and it becomes stressful dealing with menstruation, house chores and studies all at
the same time.
I haven't personally gone through this, but I've witnessed several of friends suffer through
sadness following their first breakup. These bloody fellows don't remember their home
address and are stressed about love who even don't know the spelling of relationship.
As a girl and minor, I was always been at home. There's no way to just escape from the stress
or avoid the stress by spending some alone time outside home. I was learned to be friends
more with girls rather than boys and I think I was not so good at being friends with girls so,

basically, I had less friends. I was/am very interested in dance but my father never allowed me
to dance by saying that dance isn't a respectful hobby/activity.
...
Being a female in the present day has its pros and cons. But luckily enough, my family and
friends are very understanding, hence in my case, gender has not really been a major stressor.
Gender identity is a personal and internal sense of oneself as a male, female or other. The way
an individual publicly expresses their gender, for example ,clothing, hair, makeup and body
language.
Gender identity is important part of the psychosocial development of individual. It is necessary
to understand the varied pathways that lead to the development of a mature and healthy
gender identity to fully assess a person's behavioral health.
Its just a hoax. If you wanna achieve something then gender shouldn't affect it

19. What role does physical activity or sports play in helping you manage stress
during adolescence?
33 responses
I started swimming and it is really helping me cope up with my stress levels as I get to relax
and do something I love for an hour in the whole day.
It does hlwps in calming down and also distracts your mind from worries
Vital Role as the time spent in physical activity helps forget the stress
A lot! The more you will be indulged in physical activities, the more stress you will release,
resulting in improving your academic performance and concentration power as well.
It has helped me to clear my mind from stress, and it diverts my mind into the activities rather
than being burdened by mental pressure.
Stress could cause difficulty in body functioning such as breathing so physical activity actually
helps.
It helps a lot to manage the stress level and most importantly getting involved in something
productive makes people feel better about both mental and physical health.
Helps to relax
Being active releases chemicals in your brain that make you feel good - boosting your self-
esteem and helping you concentrate as well as sleep well and feel better.
It reduces stress
They're great for managing stress, improve mood and boosting overall well being
A vital role
Nothing
Playing games that you are proficient at might help you decompress. Because you will be
anxious about how to play a new game if you try to play one. Playing sports will help you forget
about your worries and eventually feel calmer.
Dance. I love doing dance. So, whenever I felt/feel stressed I used to put ear phones, listening
to music and dance out all my anger/stress/anxiety.

Badminton,Swimming,Cricket......
Some sort of physical activity, usually walks, helps in dealing and coping with some stresses.
But other times, when stress causes physical exhaustion, derive no support whatsoever from
engaging in physical activity.
Physical activity plays a major role in managing stress during all the age groups.
