One liner Pitch: Building India’s Most Productive Community

Building a community with the highest productivity quotient: Untitled aims to create a community
of primarily students from arts & commerce background from across colleges and help them uncover
new opportunities in terms of internships, jobs, competitions and networking opportunities for them
and help them lead a productive professional life. It tries to do this with three things –

a. Internships & Jobs: Untitled takes care of the entire process of getting internships & jobs starting
from the discovery phase by providing 5-10 good (good means paid at par the industry standard & at
a legitimate company) internships & jobs opportunities curated from various platforms daily, and
helping with the prep process of building a CV, preparing for interviews, cold reach outs and LinkedIn
optimization through recorded sessions and live one-to-one sessions for personalized attention.

b. Comprehensive resource repository: Untitled is trying to build an extensive resource repository

that would consist of curated courses across categories to help students overcome decision fatigue
as to what courses to do, an AI tools database to help students find a tool for anything and
everything and finally content suggestion library with podcast, newsletter, YouTube channel and book
recommendations to make community members more productive.

c. Untitled clubs: Presently, all college societies & clubs, no matter what their purpose is, boil down
to raising sponsors, getting registrations done for competitions and tapping speakers for sessions and
the true essence of say an entrepreneurship cell or finance society is lost. Also, all the competitions
are boxed in the format of just case competitions. Untitled has clubs, an entrepreneurship club, a
finance club, a marketing club and more clubs for various different areas are being opened which
would serve three purpose – 1. To help students from various colleges to connect and network with
students of other colleges, 2. Live sessions by industry experts to teach specific skills. For ex- a
session in finance club on M&A by someone from KPMG India in M&A to enable industry relevant
skill learning and finally 3. Experiential learning competitions – Not just case competition for
everything. For ex- if there’s a competition in the entrepreneurship club under untitled it would be
more on the lines of 10 teams with 10 people each are given Rs. 10K each to run any business of
their choice for 2 months and based on the topline, bottom line, repeat sales, and other such
metrices someone would be the winner. Such competitions would promote a true learning
experience.

Who needs another student community? While there are many student-oriented communities,
there exist a gap mainly in two aspects – Arts & Commerce students focused communities rarely
exist with most of them just focusing on science and tech-background students and the one’s that
exist are nothing more than job alerts groups. Hence, lack of guidance and opportunities for such
students inhibit their professional growth especially students in tier 2 and tier 3 colleges. Untitled is
trying to bridge the gap of college to industry through the community model.

Revenue generation through startups: Untitled aims to position itself as a social product with strong
network effect and hence charging students to join it would inhibit the number of users. Idea is to
build a huge pool of students who have upskilled themselves with industry relevant courses curated
by untitled, done real internships facilitated by untitled and participated in true experiential
competitions organized by untitled. Such students are a potential asset pool that could turn out to be
great hires for startups and Untitled can help such startups to hire from their community by paying a
success fee.

What problems do startups face in hiring? By having user interviews with 15+ startup founders, 3
key problems related to hiring emerged – 1. Attracting good talent is costly, 2. Hiring takes lot of
time, 3. Evaluation of candidate skills is difficult. Untitled aims to solve all this problem through its
platform.

Untitled makes it smooth to hire: Every student who is part of the community has a profile that
shows all his achievements and activities like the courses he has done, the competition he has won,
etc. and all profiles are ranked out of total community members and each club. A startup looking to
hire can come to the platform, enter the role details that it wants to hire for from various filters,
build a modular recruiting process by selecting and placing the steps it wants, and can get the top 5
or 10 profiles for those parameters. For example – suppose XYZ wants to hire for a product intern
who has strong communication skills and can thing strategically and also have PM knowledge. So,
XYZ can enter the role details, the traits it is looking for and then select the steps in recruiting it
wants to add from – profile screening, recorded interview to check communication, assignment
round, psychometric test, and interview. Suppose, XYZ chooses profile screening, recorded interview
and assignment. Now, the platform would screen the top 50 profiles from the Product Club who are
open to internships, then XYZ can select questions for the recorded interview which would be given
to the top 50 shortlisted candidates and finally XYZ can choose from a database of assignments the
one it finds suitable and that would be pushed to the candidates who completed the recorded
interview round. Finally, XYZ will get a list of top 10 candidates who completed all the rounds and XYZ
can choose candidate from them by paying a success fee at the end. This way XYZ can save cost, time
and efforts in hiring.

A market of 55 lakhs+ potential users: In 2022, there were 55 lakhs+ arts and commerce students
and each year a similar number of students take these streams. So, over a 3-year degree program,
there are approximately 1.65 crore students that can be potential users. Also, the clubs extend this
beyond students to even working professionals looking for jobs. On the startup front, there are 90K+
registered startups and a lot of unregistered ones which could potential use Untitled to hire.

Team: There are two co-founders – Yash Jain and Abhay Gupta both pursuing Economics hons. from
SRCC and are IIM Indore dropouts. While Yash Jain takes care of the product and operations, Abhay
looks after the growth and expansion side of the things. The team has complimentary skills and
experience with both having worked in various capacities at a lot of high growth startups in the past.
While this is their first entrepreneurial stint, what is really helping them is that they themselves have
lived the problem that arts & commerce students face and have first hand seen the hiring problem
while working at different places. Also, a strong sense of user-centeredness drives Untitled with more
than 500+ student interviews and 15+ founder interviews being conducted by them.

Competition: On the community side, bluelearn is the closest competitor but then their focus has
always been on tech students. On the hiring side, internshala is the biggest competitor but they are
act majorly as a discovery platform for candidates and recruiters.

Currently building the MVP: Presently, the team is trying to build the MVP stage and are conducting
user interviews with startup founders with 15 already done and the target being 50. Untitled
community on the student side is already operational in 5 colleges – SRCC, SSCBS, IIM Rohtak, IIM
Bodh Gaya, and IIM Jammu through whatsapp with more than 1500+ members and 5000+ members
already signing up for the waitlist.
