A DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH FOR GRADE III

I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

a. identify and distinguish between singular and plural nouns;

b. correctly form the plural of regular singular nouns by adding -s or -es and -ves (e.g.,
cat/cats, bus/buses/knife/knives);

c. understand the structure of sentence by using singular and plural noun.

Materials: Visual aids, Recitation wheel, printed assessment, Video clip.

III. PROCEDURE

A. Preliminary Activities

"SINGULAR AND PLURAL NOUN"

•Noun

–have number. They can be either singular


or plural nouns.

▶️ SINGULAR NOUN

–it means only one. (The students listen attentively.)

▶️ PLURAL NOUN

–it means tow or more.

1. Most nouns from their Plural by adding "s"


to the singular.

Examples: Cabinet – Cabinets

Bag – Bags

2. Nouns ending in "s, ss, ch, z, or x" from


their Plural by adding "es"

Examples: Wish – Wishes

Brush – Brushes

3. Some nouns ending in - f or - fe form thier


plural by changing f or fe to v and adding - es.

Examples: wolf - wolves

leaf - leaves

in manila paper and they are going to identify
nouns it means that two or more"
