Quartz pressure sensor of very small dimensions for measuring

dynamic and quasi-static pressures up to 250 bar at tempera-
tures up to 200 °C.

Description
The measured pressure acts through the diaphragm on the
quartz crystal measuring element, which transforms the pres-
sure p (bar) into an electrostatic charge Q (pC = pico Cou-
lomb). Technical Data

Mounting
When mounted with a connecting nipple, the latter is preas-
sembled with the sensor to a mounting unit. Applying an ad-
hesive sealant (e.g. Loctite® 221™) between nipple and sensor
prevents any loosening from shock and vibration. At the same
time it seals off and impedes external liquids from entering
into the connector and corrupt the sensors electrical isolation.
Attention should be kept as well on the fact that adhesive seal-
ant’s will stop working at specified temperature’s that could
lye well below the sensors maximum operating temperature.
The adhesive sealant should as well be designed for the easy
disassembly with standard hand tools as this is a requirement
for most applications.
