ARCHITECTURAL PHILOSOPHY
1. Recognizing the need is the Primary condition for designing. – Charles Eames

Charles Eames emphasizes the importance of recognizing a problem or a

need as the starting point for creating a design solution. Without understanding
the problem, the design will not be effective in solving it. This quote highlights the
importance of design thinking and problem-solving skills in the field of
architecture.

2. Architecture should speak of its time and place but yearn for timelessness. –Frank
Debry

Frank Debry's quote emphasizes the role of architecture in reflecting the

time and place, while striving for timelessness. A great design should be
contextual and relevant to its surroundings while having a timeless quality that
makes it relevant beyond its time. This quote emphasizes the importance of
understanding the context and the cultural significance of the built environment.

3. There are 360 degrees, so why stick to one? – Zaha Hadid

Zaha Hadid's quote encourages designers to think creatively and beyond

conventional ideas. She emphasizes the importance of exploring various
possibilities and angles in design instead of being restricted to just one approach.
This quote underscores the significance of innovation and creativity in the field of
architecture, encouraging designers to think beyond existing norms and
boundaries.
