Directions: Please answer the following questions.

1. What is pull up? How it is important to in the conduct of morning meetings?


 Pull-up is done when an offense is committed in the TC and they didn't know the violator. The
purpose of pull-up is to make the violator to become responsible from their mistake. Also, this
will make the violator to accept and mistake and practice honesty. The importance of pull-up in
the morning meeting is to address the offense or mistake happened in the TC and make them
aware of the responsibility of their actions.

2. What do you mean by haircut? Discuss it comprehensively.


 Haircut is like a disciplinary action; this will allow the disciplinary board to investigate and assess
the offense committed. Also, they will set the arrangement of speakers and the sanction they will
give. Once settle they will call the subject of haircut and asked if why is he being called. After the
response the board will order the subject to sit down and remain silent. This is to allow the
subject to realized his actions and listen to the advices of the disciplinary board.

3. What is the importance of general meeting? What are its procedures?


 The general discusses the problems about the violation of the Cardinal Rules repeatedly. The
procedure of general meeting is the one who will lead the meeting is the so-called director of the
facility. He will raise the problem and assess it to know who among the members are involved.
Also, the director will lead the community on giving opinions and reactions on the problem. After
the community is aware of the problem, the director will call the violator to face the community.
Once the community express their feelings about the problems, the violators will account their
actions that led to the problem. Also, they will share their understanding and learnings from their
mistake. Then after the violator has been subject to an intense emotional experience, the director
will give support to the violators.

4. What is counseling? What are Psychosocial skills and characteristics of counseling?


 Counseling is the process of giving assistance to the person having a psychological, emotional
and social functioning. The Psychosocial skills and characteristics of counseling are first emphaty,
this is where the counselor is putting himself to the shoes of teh the client. Second is congruence,
this about being honest to the client also, this focuses on the real concern to the client. Third is
warmth, this is where the counselor is accepting the client no matter what the client's condition is.
Fourth is respect, is we are believing in the client's ability to make an appropriate decision. Lastly,
confidentiality, this states that all that being discussed in the session is remained there and no
other people will know about the things discussed there.

5. What do you think is the purpose of having peer confrontation group? Explain briefly.
 Peer confrontation group is where peer in the middle and young members will enter on the same
date and time. This will give to time to the members to discuss about the problems they encounter
and help each other to overcome it. Also, this discuss the improvement of each member in the
facility.

6. What is the role of encounter groups? Discuss briefly.


 Encounter group is where the residents are having time to have a forum about the negative
emotions of the members. During the Encounter group, there are rules that must be observed such
as the used of foul language and the physical fight of the members. This encounter group is to
have awareness about the problems and realized the reasons behind these problems.
