There are three main differences between Bogotá and Medellin.

The most notable

differences are the size and population. Bogotá has an area of 1.636 square

kilometers, while Medellin has an area of 382 square kilometers. In other words,

Bogotá is four times bigger than Medellin, this is the reason why Bogotá has a larger

population than Medellin. Secondly, both cities are located at different altitudes, and

as a result, their climates differ. Bogotá is 2600 meters above sea level, whereas

Medellin is located at 1500 meters above sea level. Hence, the weather in Medellín

is warmer than in Bogotá. Lastly, gentrification is more conspicuous in Bogotá than in

Medellin. Due to Medellín's smaller size, gentrification has been concentrated in

specific areas. Despite the fact that both cities are affected by gentrification. In

conclusion, between living in Bogotá and living in Medellín, Bogotá is better in terms

of climate, area, and the extent of gentrification.
