RUBRIC FOR THE SELF-PORTRAIT

Name: Jitter James H. Abelarde Section: 12 - Friendship

Art Style: Abstract Expressionism Title of the Artwork: Agitación

Interpretation (Talk about any of the aspects of your artwork: color, materials, purpose,
theme, art style, presentation).

This Self-Portrait is an Abstract Expressionism type of art style where it was acted and executed
impulsively. As you can see in the picture, I used the Impasto type of art technique in this where layers laid
on thickly to give texture and almost an 3D effect. It has low intensity colors or dull colors. The materials
used in this work of art is only bond paper, and an oil pastel. Agitación (worry or anxiety) is the title of my Self-
Portrait which refers to activities that can range from verbal threats and physical restlessness to hazardous violent
and destructive behavior.
