Safety Conditions
WARNING
THE AIRCRAFT CAN TIP ONTO IT’S TAIL WHEN THERE IS SNOW ON THE TAIL AND NO TAIL STAND IS
INSTALLED. INSTALL THE TAIL STAND WHEN STORING THE AIRCRAFT.

Procedure
1 General
Storage must be done when the aircraft will not be in use for:
− A maximum of seven days. Refer to Step 2
− More than seven days and a maximum of 28 days. Refer to Step 3
− More than 28 days and a maximum of 90 days. Refer to Step 4
− More than 90 days. Refer to Step 5.
2 Store an aircraft for a maximum of seven days
2.1 Do the preservation procedure for the engine, refer to P&WC EMM 72-00-00.
2.2 Refuel the aircraft, refer to AMM 12-B-12-10-01-00A-902A-A.
2.3 Make sure that the tire pressures are correct, refer to AMM 12-B-12-10-04-00A-902A-A.
2.4 Park the aircraft:
− For aircraft with the four-bladed propeller, refer to AMM 12-B-10-10-00-00A-901A-A
− For aircraft with the five-bladed propeller, refer to AMM 12-B-10-10-00-00A-901B-A.
2.5 Moor the aircraft if it is not stored in a hangar, refer to AMM 12-B-10-20-00-00A-901A-A.
3 Store an aircraft for more than seven days and a maximum of 28
days
3.1 Do the preservation procedure for the engine, refer to P&WC EMM 72-00-00.
3.2 Refuel the aircraft, refer to AMM 12-B-12-10-01-00A-902A-A.
3.3 Make sure that the tire pressures are correct, refer to AMM 12-B-12-10-04-00A-902A-A.
3.4 Park the aircraft:
− For aircraft with the four-bladed propeller, refer to AMM 12-B-10-10-00-00A-901A-A
− For aircraft with the five-bladed propeller, refer to AMM 12-B-10-10-00-00A-901B-A.
3.5 Moor the aircraft if it is not stored in a hangar, refer to AMM 12-B-10-20-00-00A-901A-A.
3.6 Open and install a Safety clip (Circuit breaker hold open) (Pt.No. T12-030) on the circuit breaker:
− ELT-NAV/CLOCK (BATTERY AND EXTERNAL POWER JUNCTION BOX).
3.7 Every seven days, do the steps that follow:
3.7.1 Make sure that the tire pressures are correct, refer to AMM 12-B-12-10-04-00A-902A-A.
3.7.2 Move the aircraft to turn the wheels 180° to conserve the tires.
3.7.3 Remove 0.5 US pint (0,25 l) of fuel from each fuel tank. Examine the fuel for water contamination.
4 Store an aircraft for more than 28 days and a maximum of 90 days
4.1 Do the preservation procedure for the engine, refer to P&WC EMM 72-00-00.
4.2 Refuel the aircraft, refer to AMM 12-B-12-10-01-00A-902A-A.
4.3 Make sure that the tire pressures are correct, refer to AMM 12-B-12-10-04-00A-902A-A.
4.4 Park the aircraft:
− For aircraft with the four-bladed propeller, refer to AMM 12-B-10-10-00-00A-901A-A
− For aircraft with the five-bladed propeller, refer to AMM 12-B-10-10-00-00A-901B-A.
4.5 Moor the aircraft if it is not stored in a hangar, refer to AMM 12-B-10-20-00-00A-901A-A.
4.6 Remove the aircraft batteries:
− For lead acid batteries, refer to AMM 12-B-24-30-07-00A-920A-A
− For Ni-Cad batteries, refer to AMM 12-B-24-30-07-00A-920B-A
− For heated Ni-Cad batteries, refer to AMM12-B-24-30-07-00A-920C-A.
4.7 Every seven days, do the steps that follow:
4.7.1 Make sure that the tire pressures are correct, refer to AMM 12-B-12-10-04-00A-902A-A.
4.7.2 Move the aircraft to turn the wheels 180° to conserve the tires.
4.7.3 Remove 0.5 US pint (0,25 l) of fuel from each fuel tank. Examine the fuel for water contamination.
5 Store an aircraft for more than 90 days
5.1 Do the preservation procedure for the engine, refer to P&WC EMM 72-00-00.
5.2 Drain the engine oil system, refer to AMM 12-B-79-00-00-00A-902A-A.
5.3 Refuel the aircraft, refer to AMM 12-B-12-10-01-00A-902A-A.
5.4 Make sure that the tire pressures are correct, refer to AMM 12-B-12-10-04-00A-902A-A.
5.5 Remove the aircraft batteries:
− For lead acid batteries, refer to AMM 12-B-24-30-07-00A-920A-A
− For Ni-Cad batteries, refer to AMM 12-B-24-30-07-00A-920B-A
− For heated Ni-Cad batteries, refer to AMM12-B-24-30-07-00A-920C-A.
5.6 Park the aircraft:
− For aircraft with the four-bladed propeller, refer to AMM 12-B-10-10-00-00A-901A-A
− For aircraft with the five-bladed propeller, refer to AMM 12-B-10-10-00-00A-901B-A.
5.7 Moor the aircraft if it is not stored in a hangar, refer to AMM 12-B-10-20-00-00A-901A-A.
5.8 Each seven days, do the steps that follow:
5.8.1 Make sure the tire pressures are correct, refer to AMM 12-B-12-10-04-00A-902A-A.
5.8.2 Move the aircraft to turn the wheels 180° to conserve the tires.
5.8.3 Remove 0.5 US pint (0,25 l) of fuel from each fuel tank. Examine the fuel for water contamination.
