    The simple past

    Affrimative : s + v + ed

    Ex1 : Oumarou arrived late yesterday

    Ex 2 : Abdou saw a snack last week

    Negative : s + did + not + v(simple present) + c

    Ex 1 : OUMAROU did not arrive late yesterday

    Ex 2 : Abdou did not see a snack last week

    Interrogative : Did + s + v ( simple present ) + c ?

    Ex1 : Did Oumarou arrive late yesterday ?

    Ex2 : did Abdou see a snack last night ?

    Interro negative : Did + S + not + v( simple present ) + c ?

    Ex1 : Did Oumarou not arrive late yesterday ?

    Ex 2 : Did Abdou not see a snack last week ?

    Time expression : Last +combination (week, year, Monday…) ; yesterday ; ago ; in + last date

    Translation : dernier + combinaison ( semaine, année, Monday) hier, il y a, dans +dernier date

    Usage : we use the simple past for exprim the last action in the past
