- We all know that palm oil is one of the most important substances, or raw materials, that is
being used for all the commodities that we are using today. Commodities that are most likely
consumables. All the products, including food, biofuel, and hygiene products, contain palm oil.
Aside from its cost, the substance is well known for the deforestation caused by palm oil. As
demand continues to rise as a result of its increasing usage, it makes the situation worse. This is
the reason why deforestation and palm oil are very closely related. It has detrimental effects on
tropical animals and the Earth as a whole. However, the increase in demand is not a reasonable
option to deforest for palm oil; instead, product producers should move to more sustainable
practices because it is imperative that we make a change to the status quo to mitigate the
environmental issues that we are now facing, which may get worse if we remain in the status
quo.
