COMPLEX NUMBERS

A complex number is any number of the form

z = a + bi

where: a = real part


b = imaginary part
i = imaginary unit or number = 1

EQUALITY OF COMPLEX NUMBERS

Let: Z1 = a1 + jb1 Z2 = a2 + jb2

Two complex numbers Z1 and Z2 are equal if and only if,

a1 = a2 & b1 = b2
