1 JOINT
Description:
Welding around the pipe.

Root of cause:
1. Joinning new coil.

2 OPEN SEAM
Description:
Openning at weld area.

Root of cause:
1. Setting during size change.
2. Not enough width of coil.

3 SHORT
Description:
Pipe length less than 5995mm.

Root of cause:
1. Not lift the encoder during
stop.

4 OVERLAPPED
Description:
Overlapped weld seam.

Root of cause:
1. Coil wavy.
2. SQ roller set up wrong.
3. Fin pass broken.
4. SGV roller top need reprofile.

5. Not grind joint enough causing

fin pass broken.

5 POOR WELDING
Description:
Pipe lack of weld seam can cause
leakage "pin hole". Can be
detected by inspect the weld bead.

Root of cause:
1. Speed not suitable with HFW
power output.
2. Coil burr high.

6 POOR SCARFING
Description:
Pipe weld seam "top" poorly scuff.

Root of cause:
1. Scuffing insert broken.

7 LINE/ROLLER/SCRATCH MARK
Description:
Look like a mark on the pipe
surface.

Root of cause:
1. Scratch from hoop cage.
2. Scratch from cut saw clamp.
3. Scratch from roller stand bottom
FV1, FV2, FV3 and FV4.

8 DENTED
Description:
The surface of pipe not perfectly
round .

Root of cause:
1. Poor handling.

9 BEND
Description:
Pipe straightness out by visually
inspect.

Root of cause:
1. Turkhead adjustment.

10 BAD END FACING

Description:
Burr at end of pipes.

Root of cause:
1. Blunt tool bit
2. Incorrect setting

11 LEAK
Description:
Leaking from small hole on pipe
when Hydrotest.

Root of cause:
1. Poor welding.
2. Poor scarfing.

12 RUSTY
Description:
Pipe corrosion by visually inspect.

Root of cause:
1. Not apply anti rust.
2. Pipe at open area.
