PROJECT TITLE: organic fertilizer processing machine
GROUP NAME: precious young creators

August, 22,2023G.C.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
The organic fertilizer processing machine has been funded through the brighter
generation non-profitable organizations, which aims to build a community of
lifelong learners. The precious young creators group members would like to thank
the brighter generation founder D.R Tsega Solomon and D.R Berhan Bulcha, our
instructors M.S Lidya Tesfaye and M.S Mikayala Edeen, our facilitors D.R Sied
Mohammed and Teacher Marta Getu, our coordinator Hermella Amha, our welder
Aweke and finally, we would like to thank other bodies involved directly and
indirectly in this project.

PROJECT SUMMARY
Our project is organic fertilizer processing machine. The machine we are working
on consists of three parts (cross-section). These parts are; the incoming saw dust
grinder area, ventilation area and compost storage area. The incoming saw dust
grinder area is the area that grinds the waste kitchen materials, the purpose of
ventilation area is cooling and the final part is used to store the compost.

We use waste kitchen materials as raw-materials. The reason behind this is that
waste kitchen materials are affecting the community by polluting the environment
and also these types of waste materials are causing for common cold disease. After
we have finished the project, we distribute it in affordable price. The consumers
are farmers. Farmers must make a small building for the machine after paying the
machine then they can use it.

BACKGROUND
Agriculture is the science or practice of farming and cultivating the land, in
Ethiopia, 80% and more than 80% people live in the countryside and most of them
are engaged in agriculture and also in Debre Birhan city from 2010-2015 data,
95,838 males and106, 388 females are engaging in agriculture. Nevertheless, the
productivity of our agricultural sector has been drastically decreased. Due to this,
we have started using chemical fertilizers but these types of chemical fertilizers are
affecting the productivity of soil and the community health.
To solve the above problem, the Ethiopian government spend much money over
660 million dollar (27.2 billion birr) per year to import chemical fertilizers from
Egypt, Morocco and Saudi Arabia. However, these chemical fertilizers create
heavy health issues such as cancer, diabetes. We have already given training for
the farmers that are living in Genet and Faji kebele. The analysis of the research l

Problem of statement
Several problems will be solving by this project. We can see these problems in
detail. As previously explained, chemical fertilizers are affecting the community
health and these fertilizers lead to a severe health problem that can’t be treated
easily’ moreover, the Ethiopian government has been importing chemical
fertilizers by paying 660 million dollar but this organic fertilizer processing
machine can reduce this amount of money. In Ethiopia, there are many problems.
Therefore, we can use the above amount of money to solve other problems.
Additionally, we can retrieve our soil fertility. Finally, the raw-materials that used
for this machine is waste kitchen materials. Consequently, we can recycle the
waste materials that affected many people in Ethiopia.

Proposed solutions
We propose many solutions to solve the above mentioned problem. The first and
foremost solution is using organic fertilizer instead of chemical one because
organic fertilizers don’t have any chemical that damaged the cultivation land.

OUTCOME OF THE PROJECT

The outcome of this project is organic fertilizer processing machine. The machine
can be digest waste kitchen materials and the consumers are farmers. By making a
small house for the machine the farmers can use this machine.

SOME RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUTURE WORKS

This project use waste kitchen materials as raw-materials. The reason behind this
solution is that waste kitchen materials are caused for common cold and other
health related problems that can be caused by these waste materials. If this project
applies in real world, we will solve the above types of community problem.
Our group name is called precious young creator. Each group members have their
own tasks in this group. Our dream is to give service for our community by
addressing the community problems and also to be contestant in international level.
We have many project ideas and we will do our entire project ideas step by step
and we will apply in real life.
