I/ DEMONSTRATE, USING DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION STYLES AND FORMAT, THAT
YOU CAN EFFECTIVELY DESIGN AND DELIVER A TRANING EVENT FOR A GIVEN
TARGET AUDIENCE (P1)
1. Definition and the importance of communication skill
1.1 Definition of communication skill

Communication skills refer to the ability to effectively convey and receive messages, both
verbally and non-verbally, in a way that is clear, concise, and appropriate for the context and
audience. Communication skills include a range of abilities such as active listening, effective
speaking, writing, and using body language and other nonverbal cues.

Effective communication skills are essential in personal and professional relationships, and are
highly valued in many industries and fields. Strong communication skills can enhance
collaboration, productivity, and teamwork, and can help to resolve conflicts and build positive
relationships (Eunson, B. 2012).

Figure 1: Communication skill

1.2 The important of communication skill

Communication skills are critical for success in virtually all aspects of life, whether it is personal,
social, or professional. The ability to convey information effectively and efficiently, listen actively,
and respond appropriately are essential components of effective communication. In this
response, I will provide references and links to support the importance of communication skills.

Communication Skills in the Workplace:

Effective communication is essential in the workplace. The ability to communicate effectively can
lead to increased productivity, better teamwork, and a more positive work environment.
According to a study by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE),
"communication skills" are the most desired attributes employers look for in job candidates.
(NACE Job Outlook 2022)

Communication Skills in Relationships:

Good communication skills are critical to maintaining healthy relationships. Communication is

the key to resolving conflicts, building trust, and creating deeper connections with others.
According to a study published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, couples who
reported good communication skills were more likely to have a successful and happy
relationship. (Journal of Social and Personal Relationships)

Communication Skills for Personal Development:

Effective communication skills are also essential for personal growth and development. Good
communication skills help individuals to express themselves more clearly, improve their listening
skills, and develop their ability to persuade and influence others. According to a study published
in the Journal of Education and Practice, developing effective communication skills is an
important aspect of self-improvement. (Journal of Education and Practice)

1.3 How to improve my communication skills

Figure 2: Improve my communication skills

Improving your communication skills can take time and effort, but it can be a valuable investment
in your personal and professional life. Here are some tips to help you improve your
communication skills:
 Practice active listening: When someone is speaking to you, give them your full attention
and avoid interrupting. Ask questions to clarify what they're saying and reflect back what
you've heard to make sure you understand.
 Pay attention to body language: Nonverbal cues such as eye contact, facial expressions,
and posture can convey a lot of meaning. Make sure your body language is sending the
message you intend.
 Speak clearly and concisely: Avoid rambling or using vague language. Be clear and
concise in your speech, and tailor your language to your audience.
 Use appropriate tone and volume: The tone and volume of your voice can affect how your
message is received. Use an appropriate tone and volume for the situation and the
people you're communicating with.
 Practice writing: Writing is a great way to improve your communication skills. Practice
writing emails, reports, or even social media posts to help you become a more effective
communicator in written form.
 Seek feedback: Ask for feedback from people you trust, such as colleagues or friends.
Ask them to be honest with you and provide specific suggestions for improvement.
 Take courses or workshops: Consider taking a course or workshop on communication
skills to learn new techniques and get feedback from professionals.
2. Verbal communication

Figure 3: Verbal communication

Verbal communication is an essential skill for personal and professional success, and there are
many ways to improve it. To improve your verbal communication skills, you can practice active
listening, pay attention to body language, speak clearly and concisely, use an appropriate tone
and volume, practice writing, seek feedback, and take courses or workshops. Remember that
improving your communication skills takes time and practice.
3. Non-verbal communication

Figure 4: Non-verbal communication

Non-verbal communication is the process of sending and receiving information through gestures,
facial expressions, and other forms of body language. It can convey a lot of meaning and can be
just as important as verbal communication in some situations (Gary. D, 2021).

Some common examples of non-verbal communication include:

 Body language: it is essential to understand that certain forms of body language can
convey either attentiveness or lack of interest in a conversation. For instance, standing
with your arms crossed and legs apart may indicate disinterest or a desire to end the
conversation. On the other hand, standing with your arms open and posture straight can
convey attentiveness and focus. Therefore, it is important to be mindful of your body
language and understand that it may not always convey your intended message.
 Person space: it is crucial to maintain a safe distance of personal space while
communicating with others. Standing too close can seem threatening, while standing too
far away can imply a desire to end the conversation. Determine the most comfortable
personal space distance between yourself and the other person and maintain it
throughout the conversation.
 Eye contact is a significant form of non-verbal communication. A steady gaze with
occasional blinking can indicate interest, while staring can be intimidating. Avoiding eye
contact or rolling eyes can imply disinterest or dismissiveness. Therefore, it is crucial to
be aware of your eye contact and ensure that it conveys the intended message.
 Touch can be a complex form of non-verbal communication, and its role in conveying
messages can depend on the context. While touch can be used to express compassion
and empathy in personal relationships, it may not always be appropriate in professional
settings. Verbal communication is a safer and more effective means of communication,
and it can complement touch in personal relationships.
4. Communication in my group

The "Dynamic Dynamos" is a group of six individuals, including Dao Van Hieu, Dam Hong Hai,

We utilized both nonverbal and verbal communication to make the final decision for the event.
Our team always listens to each member to ask questions, provide feedback, exchange
information, and communicate clearly and understandably in our discussions about the event
venue.

- Hieu: I want to find a location that can accommodate more than 200 people with the
criteria of reasonable cost and spacious and clean tables and chairs.
- Nam: I think the space only needs to hold 200 people in case some people don't show up.
- Hieu: I understand your point, but if this is an event that everyone is interested in, do you
think that option is still appropriate? Our goal is to make the company grow, so it will
definitely attract enough people.

During the conversation between Hieu and Nam, Nam used eye contact, repeated words, and
body language to express his concern, while Hieu calmly explained for Nam to understand.
Finally, we decided to hold the event at the National Convention Center.

II/ DEMONSTRATE THAT YOU HAVE USED EFFECTIVE TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS IN
PLANNING AN EVENT (P2)
1. Definition and the importance of time management skill
1.1 Definition time management skill

Figure 5: Time management skill

Time management involves organizing and coordinating tasks and activities to make the most of
an individual's efforts. Its aim is to help people achieve better results in less time. Effective time
management involves utilizing techniques such as organization, planning, and scheduling to
optimize the use of available time. It also takes into consideration an individual's unique
circumstances, capabilities, and traits (Ben. L, 2023).

1.2 The important of time management skill

Effective time management allows individuals to make the most of their time by assigning
meaning to it. In a business context, it is used to establish goals and expectations for companies
and their employees, with good time management skills enabling employees to produce quality
work and achieve their objectives. Time management is also helpful to managers in setting
practical goals for their employees and understanding their capabilities (Ben. L, 2023).

Poor time management, on the other hand, can lead to missed goals, poor quality work,
increased stress and anxiety, and a lack of time. Inefficient use of time can be detrimental to
employees, managers, and the company as a whole. Time poverty can result from poor or non-
existent time management, leaving individuals feeling overwhelmed and unable to balance their
personal and professional responsibilities (Ben. L, 2023).

Time management requires individuals to make active decisions about how they use their time,
as without it, they are more reactive to external stimuli and may lose control over their work and
personal lives. Prioritizing higher-value work over other tasks can improve both productivity and
work-life balance. Ultimately, good time management leads to a healthier workplace
environment (Ben . L, 2023).

2.8 Gantt chart

A Gantt chart is a simple framework that shows a visual representation of large projects, broken
into smaller pieces or activities with each of these activities spread out over time. A Gantt chart
shows at a glance what the individual activities are, when each one should begin and end, if
there is any overlap between activities, and how the project can be completed within a given
time limit.

contingencies and justifications of time allocated. (M1)
 On February 23, 2023, our team began an important phase in preparing for the upcoming
event. We started meeting to develop a detailed plan for organizing the event, including
events, expenses, venues, contingency plans, and speakers.
 In terms of event organization, we will focus on planning the event program, especially
creating an exciting and engaging program for guests. We will also create advertising
and communication materials to introduce the event to the public. Additionally, we will
search for and select a suitable venue to host the event, ensuring that it is large
enough to accommodate the number of guests and suitable for the purpose of the
event. We will also negotiate with sponsors and partners to ensure the event is a
success.
 In terms of expenses, we will carefully calculate the costs associated with organizing
the event, from booking fees, equipment, food, drinks, sound and lighting equipment,
to advertising costs, design and printing of materials, transportation fees, and other
expenses. We will ensure that costs are carefully calculated and reasonable to ensure
the event is successfully organized while still being cost-effective.
 In terms of contingency plans, we will identify backup plans and solutions for
emergency situations, such as power outages, network disconnections, venue
changes, or other issues. We will have plans to deal with these situations to ensure
that the event runs smoothly.
 Finally, we will search for and select appropriate speakers to participate in the event.
We will ensure that the speakers have the appropriate expertise and experience to
provide value to our guests.
In summary, in this phase, we will focus on developing a detailed and careful plan to
ensure that the event is successfully organized. We will identify emergency situations
and provide solutions, search for and select appropriate speakers to participate in the
event, and calculate the associated expenses to ensure that the event is organized in
a reasonable and effective manner. From 26/04/2022 – 30/04/2022: This is the 5-day
event phase, during which the team conducts the event according to the strategy that
was previously stated.
 From 1/03/2022 – 9/03/2022: Before beginning a big project, the entire team is given a
nine-day respite,
 ➢ From 10/3/2022/13/3/2022 – 16/03/2023: This is the 5-day event phase, during which
the team conducts the event according to the strategy that was previously stated.

4. Evaluate the effectiveness and application of interpersonal skills during the design
and delivery of a training event. (D1)

Interpersonal skills are the aptitudes that allow a person to interact with others successfully.
Interpersonal skills include things like attitude and demeanor, listening skills, and
communication. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for many roles in any firm. One of
the most important aspects of one's personality is their capacity for social interaction. It
essentially refers to enjoyable encounters with other individuals. The various psychological traits
that each individual possesses and which, as a result, influence relationships with others are
referred to as interpersonal skills.

 The significance of interpersonal abilities The effective tools that people use to interact
and communicate with others in the workplace are interpersonal skills. I already
mentioned that I have strong interpersonal abilities, which contribute to both my
professional and personal success. A person with great interpersonal skills may navigate
the workplace, advance in his career, and help to boost productivity. Possessing great
interpersonal abilities makes you approachable in the workplace.
 Used interpersonal abilities in the planning and execution of a training event. The ability to
interact and communicate with people in an organizational setting requires excellent
interpersonal skills, which can also be used as a weapon. In order to effectively complete
the program, I made use of a number of interpersonal skills. The list of them is as follows.
o Body languages: Body language is a technique for verbal and nonverbal
communication that focuses on the messages our faces, hands, eyes, and posture
convey to others. The delivery of the event also made use of body language and
other nonverbal cues. Most of the time, my posture, tone of voice, gestures, and
facial expressions communicated my attitude toward the situation. I created a
happy environment and improved my connection with the audience by making
regular eye contact, using gestures, and using my voice and tone of voice during
presentations.
o Time management: This concept contradicts itself (contradictory element). Time is
something we cannot control, no matter how we live. Making the most of our time
requires prioritizing what needs to be done first. I need to effectively manage my
time in order to complete my homework. I used numerous time-management
techniques as a result, which I covered in my presentation. As mentioned before, I
also organized my assignment for better time management.
o Positivity and self-assurance: Positivity is the conviction that one can succeed on
their own. Without hope and faith, nothing is possible. One needs to have
confidence in themselves while performing the activity. One of the most crucial
traits to possess in order to advance in your career is self-confidence. When I was
developing my software, seniors questioned my ability to complete this task, and I
quickly nodded in the affirmative.
 The efficacy of certain interpersonal abilities I already discussed a range of interpersonal
abilities I used during my program. All of these skills were really helpful in helping me
build stronger relationships with others through involvement. When faced with a dilemma
and forced to make a choice, I used those interpersonal skills, and they were helpful. I
can say that all of these interpersonal skills were incredibly helpful during the planning
and implementation of my event, so those abilities were helpful in this regard.

Impact of various interpersonal skills I've already mentioned a number of social skills I used
during my program. All of these skills were really helpful in helping me engage others more
effectively and hence build stronger connections with them. When I was given a choice to make
and had to make a decision, I used those interpersonal skills, and they were helpful. These skills
came in handy in this situation, and I can attest to the fact that all of them were incredibly
beneficial in the preparation and execution of my event.

III/ DEMONSTRATE THE USE OF DIFFERENT PROBLEM-SOLVING TECHNIQUES IN THE

DESIGN AND DELIVERY OF AN EVENT (P3)
1. Definition and the importance of problem solving
1.1 Definition

Knowing the broad range of skills involved in problem-solving is important before one can fully
understand their worth in the job. In general, the ability to handle and resolve difficult and
unanticipated challenges is referred to as problem-solving.

Applicants that excel in solving problems are able to think both analytically and creatively.

They have faith in their capacity to make choices and overcome challenges on the work.

These people combine analytical, creative, critical thinking, and attention to detail skills very well.
As a result, they will be able to quickly identify problems and identify the best solutions when
they arise. Also, they will determine what factors and forces led to the circumstance and make
adjustments to prevent such issues in the future.

When evaluating job prospects, there are six crucial problem-solving talents to look for:

 Listening skill: Active listeners are generally great problem solvers. They can listen to
those around them to gather the information needed to solve the problem at hand. They
recognize the importance of valuing others’ opinions and experiences to help understand
why the problem occurred and the best course of action to remedy it.
 Analytical thinking skill: Analytical thinkers can identify the logical reasons why a problem
occurred, what the long-term effects of the issue could be, and identify how effective
different solutions might be to select the most practical one.
 Creative thinking skills: Creative thinkers can balance their analytical skills with creative
solutions. Creative thinking skills allow individuals to uncover innovative and progressive
solutions to problems. They’re able to provide new perspectives and provide imaginative
and experimental solutions to all kinds of problems.
 Decision-making skills: Those with problem-solving skills will also possess the ability to
make decisions and be confident in them. This is important, as most problem-solving
steps involve making firm decisions to provide a successful outcome.
 Teamwork: Although problem-solvers need to be independent thinkers, it’s also vital for
them to work well as part of a team. Determining the best solution often requires
collaboration, so it’s important that candidates can demonstrate how they can motivate
others to come up with the best solutions and work with them to help develop and
implement solutions.

1.2 The importance of problem solving

Problem-solving skills allow you to find candidates who are cognitively equipped to handle
anything their jobs throw at them.

Problem solvers can observe, judge, and act quickly when difficulties arise when they inevitably
do. Moreover, they are not afraid of the unknown, which is invaluable to employers who rely on
their employees to identify and solve problems.

There are several important benefits of problem-solving skills in the workplace. Below, we’ll go
through five of the most significant traits that all problem solvers can bring to their roles and
workplaces.

 Ability to organize their time intelligently: Time management skills can often be under
looked as one of the benefits of problem-solving skills in the workplace. However, those
with problem-solving abilities also typically possess stellar time-management skills. The
ability to manage their time wisely and laser-focus on what’s important to the business will
lead to better decision-making and business impact.
 Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute strategies: Problem solvers have no issue with
carefully assessing customer and client needs and how to prioritize, plan, and execute
strategies for how to meet them. They can manage all moving parts since they can
strategize how best to meet multiple unique demands.
 Ability to think outside the box: Problem solvers can often identify opportunities in
problems. Thinking outside of the box is an important problem-solving skill in the
workplace since it can often lead to better outcomes than had been expected originally.
 Ability to work under pressure: This is often one of the most important benefits of
problem-solving skills in the workplace. Problem solvers often have personalities that
respond well under pressure, including accelerated deadlines and changing project
parameters.
 Depending on your workplace culture, you might prefer someone who can deliver quick
solutions or someone who takes their time to identify the next steps -- both are valid
problem-solving qualities.
 Ability to address risk: Planning is an important problem-solving skill. Problem solvers are
not just equipped to deal with the problem at hand but are also able to anticipate
problems that will arise in the future based on trends, patterns, experience, and current
events
2. Some techniques and tools for the problem solving
2.1 Techniques for problem solving

The 5 why:
Figure 13: The 5 why.

If you have younger siblings or have babysat, you will understand how aggravating the inquiry
"Why?" may be.

Yet there's a reason why tiny kids are always asking why. They're new to the planet, and there
are A LOT of problems to learn and fix!

One of the most successful methods to tackle a difficult problem is to ask "why," and it has even
been evolved into an official problem-solving approach known as "The 5 Whys."

When you pursue this line of inquiry, you will ultimately reach a point where you can no longer
ask "why" and receive a relevant response. When that happens, you know you've uncovered the
fundamental cause of the problem, which is half the fight in solving it.

Lateral thinking:

Figure 14: Lateral thinking

Lateral thinking ignores the typical step-by-step problem-solving strategy in favor of indirect and
inventive approaches to identify solutions that aren't immediately obvious. In essence, it
encourages you to think creatively, write down any ideas you have, no matter how stupid they
may appear, and solve issues using different parts of your brain. It's a fresh perspective on
"thinking beyond the box."

2.2 Tools for problem solving

Fish bone diagram:

Figure 15: Fish bone diagram

The most important part of defining the problem is looking at the possible root cause. You'll need
to ask yourself questions like: Where and when is it happening? How is it occurring? With whom
is it happening? Why is it happening?

You can get to the root cause with a fishbone diagram (also known as an Ishikawa diagram or a
cause and effect diagram).

Basically, you put the effect on the right side as the problem statement. Then you list all possible
causes on the left, grouped into larger cause categories. The resulting shape resembles a fish
skeleton. Which is a perfect way to say, "This problem smells fishy."

My mapping:
Figure 16: My mapping

When faced with a difficult task, mind maps can help to avoid the brain's natural panic response.
We worry and feel a flood of unpleasant physiological and nonphysical sensations when
confronted with a crisis. When we enter panic mode, we may feel immense dread, a racing
heart, shortness of breath, and shivering. This is not the ideal method to get into a problem-
solving frame of mind!

Mind mapping helps you to explore ideas while remaining comfortable, as opposed to 'forcing'
your mind to come up with a solution, which might induce tension. When you utilize mind maps
to solve problems, you get instant clarity, which makes it simpler to find the solutions you
require. This enables you to view the situation as a positive challenge and an opportunity to
showcase your creative ability.

3. Problems and situations in the event

We were preparing for the 'VIETTELPAY-For an easy life' event at the National Convention
Center, one of the most important events of the year for us. Everything was going smoothly until
a power outage occurred. The National Convention Center unexpectedly lost power, causing a
disruption to the entire lighting and sound system. This incident caused us a lot of difficulties,
especially as guests were arriving and the event was about to take place. We used various
techniques and tools to solve the problem. Firstly, we used brainstorming to come up with
solutions to overcome this situation. Then, we conducted a root cause analysis to identify the
underlying cause of the incident. We also performed risk assessment and developed an
emergency plan to ensure the safety of guests and staff at the event. We also developed a
communication plan to inform about the situation and provide updates to guests about the
event's progress. Finally, we worked closely with the National Convention Center and other
partners to find solutions and minimize the impact of the incident on the event. Although there
were some difficulties, we tried our best to make the event a success.

4. Research the use of different problem-solving techniques used in the design and
delivery of an event. (M2)

Problems occasionally require more than simply coping; they also need to be solved. Most
individuals solve problems on a daily basis. Many of the little choices that must be made every
day are made automatically. The options and the respective dangers and rewards of following
the alarm clock or sleeping longer, for instance, naturally come to mind when deciding whether
to get up now or sleep in for an additional 10 minutes.

Larger problems are addressed in a similar way. For example: “I have tasks that need to be
done by the end of the week. How am I going to get them all done on time?” After considering
the possible strategies, 1 is chosen and implemented. If it proves to be ineffective, a different
strategy is tried. People who can define problems, consider options, make choices, and
implement a plan have all the basic skills required for effective problem solving. Sometimes
following a step-by-step procedure for defining problems, generating solutions, and
implementing solutions can make the process of problem solving seem less overwhelming.

Six-step Problem Solving Technique:

Step 1 Define the problem: about diagnosing the problem – the context, background and
symptoms of the issue. Once the group has a clear grasp of what the problem is, they
investigate the wider symptoms to discover the implications of the problem, who it affects, and
how urgent/important it is to resolve the symptoms.

At this stage groups will use techniques such as:

 Brainstorming
 Interviewing
 Questionnaires

Step 2 Determine the root of cause the problem: Once all the symptoms are found and the
problem diagnosed and an initial definition agreed, the PS group begins to explore what has
caused the problem. In this step the problem solving team will use tools such as:

 Fish bone diagram

 Pareto analysis
 Affinity diagram

These techniques help collate the information in a structured way, and focus in on the underlying
causes of the problem. This is called the root cause.
Step 3 Develop alternative solutions: Analytical, creative problem solving is about creating a
variety of solutions, not just one. Often the most obvious answer is not the most effective
solution to the problem. The PS group focuses on:

 Finding as many solutions to the problem, no matter how outlandish they may seem.
 Looking at how each solution relates to the root cause and symptoms of the problem.
 Deciding if different solutions can be merged to give a better answer to the problem.
 At this stage it is not about finding one solution, but eliminating the options that will prove
less effective at dealing with both the symptoms and the root cause.

Step 4 Select a solution: In the fourth step, groups evaluate all the selected, potential solutions,
and narrow it down to one. This step applies two key questions.

1. Which solution is most feasible?

2. Which solution is favoured by those who will implement and use it?

Feasibility is ascertained by deciding if a solution:

 Can be implemented within an acceptable timeframe?

 Is cost effective, reliable and realistic?
 Will make resource usage more effective?
 Can adapt to conditions as they evolve and change?
 Its risks are manageable?
 Will benefit the organization/ Which solution is favoured?

Acceptance by the people who will use and implement the solution is key to success. This is
where the previous steps come into play. To users and implementer, a solution may seem too
radical, complex or unrealistic. The previous two steps help justify the choices made by the PS
group, and offer a series of different, viable solutions for users and implementer to discuss and
select from.

Step 5 Implement the solution:

Once the solution has been chosen, initial project planning begins and establishes:

 The project manager.

 Who else needs to be involved to implement the solution.
 When the project will start.
 The key milestones
 What actions need to be taken before implementing the solution
 What actions need to be taken during the implementing the solution
 Why are these actions necessary?
The group may use tools, such as a Gantt chart, timeline or log frame. Between Steps Five and
during Step Six the operational/technical implementation of the chosen solution takes place.

Step 6 Evaluate the Outcome:

The project implementation now needs to be monitored by the group to ensure their
recommendations are followed. Monitoring includes checking:

 Milestones are met

 Costs are contained
 Necessary work is completed Many working groups skip Step Six as they believe that the
project itself will cover the issues above, but this often results in the desired outcome not
being achieved.

Effective groups designate feedback mechanisms to detect if the project is going off course.
They also ensure the project is not introducing new problems. This step relies on:

 The collection of data

 Accurate, defined reporting mechanisms
 Regular updates from the Project Manager
 Challenging progress and actions when necessary

In Step Six, as the results of the project emerge, evaluation helps the group decide if they need
to return to a previous step or continue with the implementation. Once the solution goes live, the
PS group should continue to monitor the solutions progress, and be prepared to re-initiate the
Six Step process when it is required. Overall, the Six Step method is a simple and reliable way
to solve a problem. Using a creative, analytical approach to problem solving is an intuitive and
reliable process.

It helps keep groups on track, and enables a thorough investigation of the problem and solution
search. It involves implementers and users, and finds a justifiable, monitorable solution based on
data.

IV/ DEMONSTRATE THAT CRITICAL REASONING HAS BEEN APPLIED TO A GIVEN

SOLUTION (P4)
1. Definition and the importance of critical reasoning

Critical thinking involves the aptitude to understand, employ, examine, amalgamate, and assess
information to come up with a beneficial resolution or outcome. This type of thinking involves a
cognitive ability and a clever approach that enables individuals to think more coherently,
logically, and precisely across various aspects of a subject with robust evidence, sound
reasoning, and fairness compared to an average person (cleverism).
Importance of Critical Thinking:
Critical thinking is a valuable skill that allows individuals to reason more clearly, accurately, and
precisely with solid evidence and strong reasoning than the average person. When faced with
problems that have no obvious solutions, critical thinking helps individuals find their own ways to
solve them. Critical thinking is also useful during stressful situations, as it allows individuals to
rely on logical reasoning and decision-making skills to make the right decisions. Additionally,
critical thinking can aid in achieving higher academic and career goals, enhance cognitive skills,
facilitate intellectual self-improvement, and develop a more creative and active brain.

2. Apply to a given solution

2.1 Problem occurred when finding solution for organizing place of this e-
commercial event

Hieu said: 'Hello everyone, we have decided on the venue for our event, but we are facing a
problem of whether we should buy backup food to serve guests or hire a chef to cook. I want
everyone to give their opinions so that we can make the right decision.'

Kien said: 'I think we should hire a chef. This will save us time and ensure the quality of the
food.'

Nam said: 'But if we hire a chef, the cost for this will be very expensive. Why don't we buy
backup food and cook together to save costs?'

Hoang agreed with Nam and said: 'I also think so. We can use the unity of the group to cook
together and create a friendlier atmosphere for the event.'

Quan suggested another idea: 'However, if we buy backup food, we can ensure that we will
have enough food for everyone participating in the event. If we cook ourselves, there may not be
enough food for everyone.'

Hai offered another suggestion: 'Why don't we do both ideas? We can buy some backup food to
ensure we have enough food, but we can also cook together to reduce costs.'

Hieu summarized: 'Thank you everyone for giving their opinions. I think we will choose the
option of buying backup food to ensure there is enough food for everyone. However, we can
also organize a cooking session to strengthen the unity of the group and create a friendly
atmosphere for our event.

2.2 Problem occurred when finding solution for inviting the CEO of VIETTEL to
come to the even
I am Hiếu, the leader of the group, and I had a meeting with the members of the group, including
Kien, Nam, Hoang, Quan, and Hai. During the meeting, we discussed inviting the CEO of
VIETTE to our event.

However, we also mentioned the issue of limited access for the CEO, which may make it difficult
to ensure his commitment to attend the event.

We had different opinions on how to approach this issue. Kien suggested that we should directly
contact the CEO to persuade him to attend. Nam and Hoang agreed with this idea.

However, Quan suggested that we should try to approach the issue through the management
levels of VIETTEL. This would help us gain the support of other employees in the company and
increase our chances of success.

Hai proposed that we should use the relationships and connections that we already have to
contact the CEO. Meanwhile, Hoang suggested that we should provide benefits to the CEO if he
attends our event, such as gaining a better understanding of the e-wallet model that we have
researched extensively.

In the end, we made the decision to use all of the proposed approaches to invite the CEO to our
event. We will implement these ideas together to ensure the success of the event.

3. Justify the use and application of a range of solution methodologies (M3)

As previously stated, there was tension between us, the host, and the attendees throughout the
event's preparation and implementation. Make a decision after thoroughly examining the
strengths and limitations of each area.

Little issues that arise throughout the event necessitate team debate to establish the best and
most efficient answer, and implementation time is limited.
Figure 17: solution methodologies

Instead of arguing, we frequently engage in viewpoint-debating discussions using the 5 Whys to

address those challenges.

We discovered that members who want to use the technique must constantly chat discreetly in
order to produce constructive ideas, voice their opinions fearlessly, and collaborate with one
another to work together to tackle obstacles.

4. Critique the process of applying critical reasoning to a given task/activity or event

(D2)

This is a story about a group meeting I attended. The meeting took place last Wednesday, and
we were discussing the time to organize an event. Each person in the group gave their opinion
on the time of the event, and everyone had different views. Kien and Quan suggested organizing
the event in the summer so that we could have a party at the pool after the event ended.
However, I felt it was too costly to turn on the air conditioner in the summer, so I rejected their
suggestion. Hoang suggested that the event should be held in the winter because he could take
his girlfriend out in the warm weather. I thought his idea was ridiculous because he could take
his girlfriend out in any season. In winter, all activities would be delayed due to the unpredictable
weather.

On the other hand, I wanted the event to be held in the fall because we could enjoy the beauty
of nature and the typical food and drink of the fall, such as roasted coffee or ripe fruits.
Participants could have a great experience when the event was held in the fall.

Throughout the discussion, I only focused on my own opinion and did not pay attention to the
suggestions of other group members. I felt that my opinion was the most correct and accurate,
and I did not care about the thoughts and proposals of others. I only focused on the negative
aspect of the members' opinions without paying attention to the good part of their words.
However, after the meeting ended and I thought about it again, I realized that my actions had
caused a loss of respect and agreement from other members in the group. I realized that I
needed to learn how to listen and respect the opinions of others, while also sharing my own
opinions in a more objective and fair way. After the meeting ended, I realized that my thinking
was limited and did not fully represent the views of the other members of the group. I've learned
that critical reasoning isn't just about stating your point of view but also about patiently listening
to and appreciating different points of view. I will work to improve my critical thinking and make
sure that each person on the team is heard and respected.

V/ Performance evaluation
1. Team member’s roles (6 members)

Leader (Hiếu): As the leader of the team, Hiếu will be responsible for overseeing the entire
project, coordinating with each head of department, ensuring that the project is progressing
according to the timeline and budget, and making the final decisions.

Head of Financial (Hoàng): Hoàng will be responsible for managing the project's finances,
tracking expenses, and creating a budget plan. They will also work closely with other team
members to ensure that the project's financial goals are met.

Head of Marketing Specialist (Kiên): Kiên will be responsible for developing and implementing
the project's marketing strategy. They will work with the team to create a branding plan, develop
promotional materials, and ensure that the project's message reaches the target audience.

Head of Customer Care Representative (Quân): Quân will be responsible for managing the
project's customer care team, ensuring that guests' needs are met, and addressing any
concerns or complaints that arise. They will work closely with other team members to ensure
that guests have a positive experience throughout the project.

Head of Technical (Hải): Hải will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of the
project, including equipment setup and maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and
ensuring that all technical systems are running smoothly.

Head of Logistic (Nam): Nam will be responsible for managing the logistics of the project,
including transportation, accommodation, and scheduling. They will work closely with other team
members to ensure that all aspects of the project are coordinated and running smoothly.

2. My contribution

As a team diplomat, it is essential to have excellent communication skills to ensure that

everyone is on the same page and working towards the same goal. I have to be able to clearly
communicate project goals and expectations to team members and provide them with the
necessary resources and support to complete their tasks successfully.

In addition to managing time during the event, I also have to handle any unexpected situations
that may arise, such as technical issues or guest complaints. It is essential to stay calm and
collected in these situations and come up with quick and effective solutions to ensure that the
event runs smoothly.

During the workshop, I will be actively engaged with guests to get their feedback and
suggestions to improve their experience. I will listen carefully to their concerns and suggestions
and work with the team to implement any necessary changes. By doing so, we can provide an
exceptional experience to our guests and increase the success of the project.

3. Conclusion

Throughout the project, each team member had to face various challenges, including time
constraints, data gathering, analysis, and interpretation, and presenting the findings in a clear
and concise manner. However, by working together as a team, we were able to overcome these
challenges and achieve our goals.

This project has been a tremendous learning experience for each of us. We have gained
valuable knowledge and skills in conducting research, data analysis, and presenting findings to a
diverse audience. We have also learned how to work effectively as a team, delegate tasks, and
communicate effectively to ensure that everyone is on the same page.

The cost of the project, which amounted to 1 billion 920.5 million VND, was significant. However,
we believe that the investment was well worth it, as the findings of this research will contribute to
a better understanding of electronic payments and help to promote a more positive attitude
towards them.

We are grateful to our instructor for providing us with a comprehensive introduction to the
assignment and for guiding us through the research process. Their guidance and support were
instrumental in our success.

VI/ CRITICAL EVALUATION

My strength in doing assignment 1:

- I am very proactive in listening to team members and confidently expressing my own

opinions. I always provide specific targets and timelines so that I can stay on track and
complete the tasks that the team requires.

My weakness in doing assignment 1:

- I am quite quiet. I didn't say anything other than our assignment, so I couldn't understand
the personality and preferences of the team members. As the leader of the group,
because I didn't understand their personalities and preferences, I assigned someone in
the group to a task they didn't like and didn't know how to do, so conflicts arose.

How to improve your weakness:

- I have researched some methods to address my weaknesses, including: ++ Start a

conversation with something that both parties can talk about ++ Ask open-ended
questions, not closed-ended questions that the other person can only answer with yes or
no

My grade that I think you deserve (P, M, D):

- I hope to achieve a grade of D because my dream is to have a good graduation certificate

in my hands after graduation. Therefore, I have and will try my best in all the assignments
that the teacher assigns.
