DIRECTIONS: Which of the following is true about human freedom? Explain your
answer.
TRUE 1. Freedom is a license to do anything one wants.
Biblically, lawfully, and rightfully, freedom is a license to do anything a person wants.
We are licensed to do anything we are passionate about, we are happy doing, and we
want to accomplish. Nonetheless, just like any other professional licenses, there is a
limit to what one can do. Once you violate other people’s license, yours will be revoked.
Remember, as long as we don’t invalidate other people, we are free to follow our hearts’
desires. Abide by the law as you do your business.

FALSE 2. Freedom means doing what is right.

Freedom doesn’t always mean doing what is right, as we all know, freedom is defined
as being independent or in the state of being free. It is also the ability of one to express
themselves. We cannot control others' will because they have their own rights. Free will
gives them choices on what path they will go on, but we cannot always say if they can
be right or wrong. Freedom is something that all people should have, but as we live on,
there are people who are abusing their freedom and putting it into harmful doings/ideas.
So this is why we should always think when we are about to do things because as great
as it may sound, freedom doesn’t always go to good actions.

TRUE 3. Freedom is doing what one desires irrespective of its consequences.

For my own perspective, every individual has a lot of emotions to deal with, and it
happens to us whether we make good or bad decisions. The outcome will also be good
or bad, depending on what you decide. However, if this occurs, our liberty seeks to
ignore it. Individuals can determine whether it is a good thing or not if they do nice
things or if it will be worse if they do bad things. It is dependent on the situation in which
the individual is confronted.

TRUE 4. Freedom is a human capacity to choose actions.

Having freedom provides you with the ability to select your actions, which also comes
with obligations. Yes, you can have the freedom to choose your actions in every choice
and situation you encounter in life, whether you encounter it alone or with someone
else. However, just because you have the freedom, it does not mean you can do
anything that comes to mind. Having complete control over one's own destiny is a
tremendous advantage. "With great power comes great responsibility," as the saying
goes.
__________ 5. Freedom always implies responsibility.
