Course Name Psychological Statistics 1 (Parametric Tests))
Course Credits 3 Units Course Description Covers the basic concepts and methods of descriptive and inferential statistics, their use in the design, analysis and interpretation of psychological studies. Relevant research topic and cases shall be discussed and linked to the appropriate parametric statistical methods. Contact 3 Hours Hours/Week Course Objectives After taking the course, the students can: 1. Discuss the significance of Descriptive Statistics to organize, describe and analyze a given set of data; 2. Apply and use the foundations of Inferential Statistics in standardizing distributions, determining probability and testing statistical hypotheses; 3. Classify and identify the degree of association/correlation existing between variables using parametric measures of Inferential Statistics; 4. Organize a research study and integrate concepts about parametric tests. 5. Use statistical software to perform data analysis and conclusion.
