    BODY PARAGRAPHS
    Group 1

    1.WRITE A TOPIC SENTENCE


    See the main idea.
    The main idea tells us more about the
    paragraph.
    Start with the first sentence.

    2. UNPACK THE TOPIC SENTENCE

    One major idea per paragraph.


    Elaboration of the main idea.

    3. GIVE EVIDENCE

    Pupils need to provide original reference


    from primary source.

    4.ANALYSE THE EVIDENCE

    Pupils write the elaboration for their


    points.
    Pupils also connect the information with
    the main ideas and write in a paragraph.

    5. PROVE YOUR OBJECTIVE

    Students can connect the link between the


    discussion and the topic sentence.
    Tie up the body paragraph by restating the
    topic sentence.

    6. PROVIDE A TRANSITION
    To connect two ideas.
    Using linking words.
    The connection between the two
    paragraphs should be strong.
