PART 1:

Please use the following information to answer questions 1

You have been hired as a business analyst by a company to try to figure out why the
employees are so unhappy. You have given the company a survey to complete
regarding their job satisfaction. A sample of 60 surveys is completed by upper-level
managers, mid-level managers, supervisors, and employees. The CEO asks you to
identify if the employees have less job satisfaction.

Use the SPSS output below to write up the results, make sure you include:
 The null and alternative hypothesis

 Name the test, report which hypothesis is rejected and the test statistic
o See workshop slides for example

 Name the post hoc test and report which means are significantly different from
each other
 Report the Means and SDs of each group

 Give a recommendation based on the results

d. As stress increases, job satisfaction decreases

Please use the following information to answer question 4.

Paired sample t-test

A manager has measured job stress in 1,057 workers across two years.
They want to see if job stress from 2019 is the same or has changed compared to
stress in 2020.

Use the SPSS output below to write up the results, make sure you include:
 The null and alternative hypothesis

 Name the test, report which hypothesis is rejected and the test statistic
o See workshop slides for example

 Report the Means and SDs of each group

 Give a recommendation based on the results

Independent t-test
A researcher wants to know if people who work full-time have different life
satisfaction compared to people who work part-time. A random sample of workers
from different industries was collected, with 720 Full-time and 332 Part-time.

Use the SPSS output below to write up the results, make sure you include:
 The null and alternative hypothesis

 Name the test, report which hypothesis is rejected

o See workshop slides for example

 Report Levene’s test

 Report whether the test is significant and the test statistic

 Report the Means and SDs of each group

 Give a recommendation based on the results
