1) – “Aren’t you hanging out with Jess?” – “No, it’s over.” 🡪 trong trường hợp này, “It’s over” có nghĩa
là “mối quan hệ đã chấm dứt”.
2) – “Have you gone to the match?” – “Yeah, it’s over now.”
Ví dụ: It’s an old building, and it’s been modernised several times.
Ví dụ 1: When you enter the garden, you may come across some herbivores – like giraffes or deers.
Ví dụ 2: When you enter the garden, you may come across some herbivores – animals that feed on grass.
Ví dụ: In fact, as you can see, we’re carrying out a major refurbishment at the moment. The interior has
just been repainted, and we’re about to start on the exterior of the building - that’ll be a big job.
Ví dụ: When you enter the garden, you may come across some herbivores – like giraffes or deers.
3
1) Cricket, which is a bat-and-ball game, has spread to many English colonies such as India.
2) Here on the ground floor, we have most of the rooms that the public doesn't see. The majority are
internal, so they have windows in the roof to light them.
4) How about taking your family for a cruise? We have a steamship that takes passengers out
several times a day - it’s over 100 years old.
5) I’m an interior designer and I come over to buy old furniture, antiques you know.

Ví dụ: “Generally speaking, I feel you’ve often used complex structures and long sentences for the
sake of it and as a consequence ... although your paragraphing and inclusion of subheadings help ...
it’s quite hard to follow your train of thought at times. So cut them down a bit, can you?”
Ví dụ 1: “…but listing ideas clearly is important. Number them or use bullet points, which is even
clearer.”
Ví dụ 2: These are great for showing all kinds of geographical features that are not easy to see
from the ground. You can easily illustrate areas of diseased trees or how much traffic is on the
roads at a given time or information about deep sea beds, for example.
Ví dụ 1: Then there are Landsats. These are satellites that circle the earth and transmit visual
information to computers at receiving stations.
Ví dụ 2: “We need to look for patterns, most commonly those of causes and consequences. This kind
of information helps us to predict and resolve problems that could affect the world we live in.”

Yeah — so we could just run through some of the typical traits. Like the consensus seems to be that
oldest children are generally less well-adjusted because they never get over the arrival of a younger
sibling.
Right, but on a positive note, some studies claimed that they were thought to be good at nurturing —
certainly in the past when people had large families they would have been expected to look after the
younger ones.
chất của đứa trẻ lớn tuổi nhất (the eldest child). Nếu người học không chắc khi nghe thông tin “good at
nurturing”, có thể dựa vào thông tin được bổ sung “look after the younger ones” làm căn cứ chọn đáp án
G. Caring.
