manage the business activities.

Lack of Innovation

The technological development and progress that we see in different fields like transport, hotels,
and luxury are all moving in a different direction. Due to lack of financial we are not able to use
modern and latest technology in our business.

High Turnover Rate

The employees’ turnover rate is very high in our business. Because of the work pressure is very
high during the season, and pay is very low. Employees are always looking for a better
opportunity. Whenever they find it, they leave their job immediately.

Seasonal Staff

hire We cannot hire our employees permanently. We must need seasonal staff to serve our
customers in different seasons. The employees’ satisfaction level is very low in this field.

Opportunity

Personalized Service with Unique Experience

Most of the hotels, restaurants, travel companies and other businesses offer a collective service
and treat everyone the same way but we will different services and packages for different people
classes. We will offer some special and unique services to the tourist in our areas.

New Products and services

15
A new product or service always has growth potential. We can add some new services and
products in our business to acquire more customers. In future we can organize and serve
international tourist. We can offer luxury hotels and restaurants to our customers. If it can attract
the attention of customers, then it would sell in the market.

Environment-Friendly Place

People have become very cautious about the environment in recent years. We will organize our
tours in those areas which are environment friendly. If we establish a place free from plastic and
zero carbon emission. Such steps would help us to attract environmentally friendly customers.

Online Marketing

If we adopt online marketing techniques to target our customers, it would help us to reach more
potential customers. We can increase the sale and productivity if your message reaches more
people.

Threat

Environmental Issues

Tourism industry has been polluting the environment. Global warming is biggest threat for our
business people like visit these places which are have normal temperature.

Limited Finances

The global economy has been going through a period of economic recession. In our country
many people have lost their jobs due to the pandemic and bad economic situation. Their finances
are limited and tourism is a luxury to them that they can’t afford.

Highly Competitive

The tourism industry has become very competitive. Many small businesses have jumped into it
and they offer low-quality service at high prices. In future many people plan to start tourism
business with luxury facilities.

Economic and political situation

In Pakistan we are facing bad political and economic situation right now. People are not
believing in investing their funds in tourism business and other industries. So risk factor is very
high in tourism business.

16
PESTLE Analysis

Tourism has seen a boom in recent times. This has a lot to do with the rising economic
capabilities of the middle class. Human behavior has also changed towards being more
extravagant through traveling. But there are many factors that affect the tourism industry
globally and there are threats to it as well. Tourism is one of the primary aspects that promote
intercultural harmony. This is also a strong addition to any country’s economy.

In this, we present an analysis of the political, economic, social, technological, legal, and
environmental factors that affect the tourism industry. This analysis will allow you to better
understand the future of this industry and the aspects that it needs to deal with on an immediate
basis.

Political Factor

In Pakistan due to political instability investors are not investing in tourism sector. Every
government makes policy to promote the tourism in country but due to lack of poor political
situation government have not enough time to implement these policies. Most of the
governments across the world have their borders open for citizens of other countries. Tourists
can visit most of the world if they can afford it, and this has really provided a major boost to the
tourism industry. Certain countries don’t even require a visa to travel to them, allowing for an
even further tourist-friendly atmosphere. Countries that are under civil wars are often tourist
unfriendly. Certain governments allow for pro-tourist regulations, such as paying for objects
purchased in a foreign country or visa fee waiver, etc. Such regulations also provide an
additional boost to the tourist psyche and economic capability as well.

Economic Factors

As the global economy grows, the income levels of those who were previously unable to afford
international tourism are now able to do so. In Pakistan people love to travel and explore new
places. People are very busy in daily life they want get-together and want to spend some time
with friends and families. Since living expenses are growing slower than purchase power,
people are able to afford luxuries such as tourism. Such economic growth is expected to remain
and the tourism industry will only be provided with benefits from it.Companies which are
currently involve in transportation providing modern transport to the tourists in Pakistan. Modern
facilities are changing the way people travel. They have presented economic models that are
more consumer-friendly, and thus is making tourism more accessible to people.

Social Factors

Tourism has become a trend for the younger generation, and social media has a lot to do with
this. While tourism was most considered as a form of wanderlust or bonding experience, it is
now a means to express social class and purchasing power through social media. This factor
produces a peer pressure that has recently provided a boost towards the tourism industry. The
world has become more racially conscious and this has helped people from rather marginal
cultures to be able to travel more freely. There are still areas where certain races are looked down
upon but as governments modernize, more of the world will become accessible to such races.

17
People are becoming more aware of other cultures in the world and thus they want to visit those
places and experience those cultures as well. People in India are learning Spanish and traveling
to South America and people in Russia and learning Chinese to travel to China.

Technological Factors

The transport industry has received a major upgrade in recent times due to the new and improved
forms of transport services. In Pakistan government pay special attention to build new roads and
infrastructure to promote tourism industry. More airplanes are now available for consumers to
access. Moreover, there are also cheaper options available which provide further access to
middle-class travelers. Airports have also become more advanced and air tickets can be
purchased in a click. People can now get to know about places across the world through their
smart devices. Travel blogs help people get the information to make the necessary journey which
they otherwise wouldn’t be able to make. Technology is helping people get from one place to
another with as much ease as possible. This has really improved the conditions of the tourism
industry.

Environmental Factors

The rising tourism levels across the world have also led to a massive increment in pollution
levels from airplanes, ships, and other vehicles. Many climate change activists are supporting the
concept of reduction in tourism to deal with the issue. The transportation industry is currently
under heavy fire from critiques regarding usage of options that heavily pollute the environment.
Humans are a negligent lot, and they tend to carry their litter with them wherever they go.
Pollution caused by the rise in tourism is destroying many beaches and coral reefs. As the
number of tourists across the world increases governments are expected to take up strict action to
regulate pollution levels caused by humans visiting tourist spots. In Pakistan government
promote tourism but due to the lack of modern facilities and unawareness about the
environmental Pollution people spread pollution on most visited place.

Legal Factors

In Pakistan people can travel from one place to another place without any restrictions. Pakistani
government providing massive facilities to the foreigners. No special documents require visiting
the Pakistan’s beautiful places and rich heritage. Everyone can come and enjoy the beautiful
Pakistan. And since most of the world borders are open to tourists, governments readily provide
tourist Visas since it boosts the economy as well. Other legal processes concerning tourism have
also become more hassle-free for consumers to take advantage of. Many banks now provide
loans for tourism purposes. These loans are highly helpful to the everyday person in being able
to tour nationally and internationally.
