Preventing Substance Abuse: Identifying and Mitigating Common Sources
0-15 Years
Negligible substance abuse among the teenage population and we assume that only 5% of this
age inflicted with drugs. A progressive ban strategy, In the 1st year, initiating a ban on drugs for
children below 15 years of age. In the 2nd year, the govt. can ban it for age up to 16 years and so on.
15-25 Years
The prime age for substance abuse, this age segment is driven by the peer pressure newfound
freedom, pop culture influence and the most evil Fear of Missing out which drives them to the world
of drugs. Thus, government’s collaboration with youth fitness icon can play a major role in this age.
25-60 Years
Introduction of Alcohol consumption cards.
Prevention of overdose and mishaps; Regulating revenue loss of government.
Better productivity of working capital; Prevention of illegal outlets.
60+ Years
Their consumption is overseen by IDs, but they're not our primary focus as they don't
contribute to productive capital and represent a small part of the population. Additionally, we
assume that many of them might have substance use habits that are challenging to address
Solution
The main revolutionizing curbs and policies that we came up with includes (to be explained
further). Introduction of Alcohol consumption cards, a progressive phase wise ban that will slowly
but gradually eradicate its existence.
