To our respected guest speaker, Dr. Roulette Cordevilla, to our dean ,Dr.

Erlinda Calumpang, CE faculty,

parents, co student teachers, and friends, good afternoon!

I want to express my warmest thank you to our parents friends, fellow student teachers, and all our
visitors who are here to join in this memorable occasion.

I want to share my journey with you all today as we gather here for this special moment in our lives
where we celebrate the hard work and dedication of our parents and guardians helping us the way up
until now we become student teachers.

My chosen major is Culture and Arts Education. Teaching was never something I really thought about or
liked. To be honest, I had mixed feelings when I chose this career path since I have witnessed first-hand
what my mom who is a public school teacher goes through everyday. She works late at night preparing
lessons and wakes up early to teach. It looked really tough that's why I am undecided whether or not to
take the leap into the world of teaching.

But then, COVID-19 came along, and life took an unexpected turn. It wasn't an easy decision to finally
decide to take up CAEd, especially during a pandemic when everything felt uncertain. I didn't even know
how to sign up for classes online, but luckily, the teachers at Foundation University College of Education
were there to guide me throughout the process.

As I began my journey as a first-year student, and I can't be able to enjoy academic scholarship because I
wasn't the one who always won awards or stood out academically. When I first took my steps in hall of
Foundation University College of Education, and I set a goal for myself and that is to become a dean's
lister, a recognition I hoped would be a special way to say thank you to my parents for their unwavering
support. Surprisingly, I did not only achieve that but also maintained good grades as an honor student.
However, it came at a cost. My health affected due to some sleepless nights because of tasks to be
submitted on time causing me to faint sometimes. But I never gave up. I turned to God and leaned on
the uplifting spirit of my family and supporters to keep pushing forward despite the odds.

The first and second years were incredibly tough due to my health challenges. But as I entered my third
year, something changed. One of my teachers at Foundation University helped me see the true value of
being an educator. It made me realize that teaching is about more than just a job; it's about shaping the
future leaders of our world. This revelation renewed my determination, and the guidance and advice
from my teachers at Foundation University continued to inspire me.
Today, as we celebrate our journey, I want you all to know that I'm a living proof that with determination,
faith, and the mentorship of our dedicated educators, we can overcome even the toughest challenges.
I've learned that, even in challenging times, we can discover our passion and purpose.

As our loved ones pin us with our names engraved in it, let it remind us of all we've achieved and the
bright future ahead as we embark on an exciting journey to the teaching profession. I am proud to be
part of the mission to shape future leaders through teaching.

Thank you everyone for being here today and mabuhay CaEd student-teachers and to all FUCE student
teachers !
