ACTIVITY 1
Describe the Object’s Shape and Space Occupied
General Instruction: Perform Activity 1 in your book pages 25-26, take a video
as a proof that you are performing the activity and send it to me through LMS.
The video should be less than 256mb. Then answer the following questions:

STEP 1.

Q1: Press each objects A, B, and C. Did the shape of objects A, B, and C
change?
Answer: The shape of the object did not change because it is hard.
Q2: Did the size of objects A, B, and C change in the three different
containers after shaking?

Answer: No, because the object inside the container are light object.

Q3: The objects in Step 1 are all solids. Based on your observations, what
can you infer about the shape and volume of a solid?

Answer: The objects that we use in step 1 did not change even in their volume.
STEP 2.

Q4: Did the shape and space occupied by the colored water change when
placed in the different containers?

Answer: No
Q5: From your observations of liquid colored water, what can you infer
about the shape and volume of a liquid?

Answer: The shape changes a bit and the volume also changes

STEP 3:

Q6: Describe and explain the shape of the air inside the round and
elongated balloon.

Answer: The shape of the air in balloon changes it depend on the shape of
balloons.

Q7: What happened to the air inside the balloons when these were untied?

Answer: Nothing happens

Q8: Air is a mixture of gases. From your observations in step 3, what can
you conclude about the shape and volume of a gas?

Answer: The shape of the air changes depends on the shape of the objects.
