"Success is looking out for a need and reaching out to

meet that need" - Rev Dr Chris Oyakhilome DSc DD

The LW Global Day of Service is a laudable initiative of

the LoveWorld Nation to honor our man of God on the
occasion of his birthday.

It is a special day set aside by our LoveWorld Nation for

each member, partner and friend of our great nation to
give a birthday gift to Pastor by rendering acts of service
in honor of our Man of God – Rev Dr Chris Oyakhilome
DSc DD.

As a people, we have been raised in a culture of service,

and we know the value of investing in someone else’s life
to the end that they may be saved

What is an Act of Service?

7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore

sober and watch unto prayer. 8 And above all things,
have fervent charity among yourselves, for charity shall
cover the multitude of sins. 9 Use hospitality one to
another without grudging. 10 As every man hath
received the gift, even so minister the same one to
another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1 Peter 4:7-10

The Global Day of Service is a God-given opportunity to

give lives a meaning. It is your opportunity to Roll Up
Your Sleeves in service, make an impact and win souls by
discharging a service of kindness that is tangible, and
directed at a person, a group or an organization in your
sphere of contact. Refer to the list of A-Z Acts of
Kindness for recommended Acts of Service.

1. The well defined goal of the Loveworld Global Day of Service

2023 is to carry out 2 Million Acts of Kindness.
2. Have Soup Kitchens setup and running from 27th November
to 10th December in the heart of where it is needed the most
in places around the world serving meals to the homeless
and destitute.
3. Plan and organize a post-program in the churches across the
Ministry where the beneficiaries of the various GDS 2023
projects will have the opportunity to share their experiences
and most importantly be integrated into the local assembly.

Question:
How do we count or measure the Act of
Service/Kindness? Will it be based on the number of Acts
or the Reach?

Answer:
It can be based on either or both! The Act (the number of
unique beneficiaries) and the Reach (if it is a community
act e.g. A borehole was gifted) depending on the kind of
Act. If someone decides to wash cars in a car wash and
washes 50 individual cars not owned by the same
person, even though it was an Act of car washing, he has
carried out 50 Acts of Service because there were 50
unique individuals who benefited. On the other hand, if
someone gifts a borehole for a community, the reach of
people who will benefit from the use of the borehole will
count for the Acts of Service.

“The Soup Kitchen Project”!

What is a Soup Kitchen?

A soup kitchen is a place where people in dire need are

provided with free food. Running a soup kitchen is a great
way to give back to the community and offer a dignified
meal to those in need.

How to Setup A Soup Kitchen

1. Find a location. The soup kitchen should be located in

an area where low income and homeless individuals
can access it easily.
2. Setup the Kitchen by organizing the people, materials
and ingredients for cooking the food.
3. Mobilize the Volunteers to help serve the meals to the
people.
4. Get the word Out! Let people know what you’re doing
and how they can benefit from it.
