CALL FOR NOMINATIONS TO THE POSITION OF VIHIGA COUNTY BOARD

FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.

The Vihiga County Persons with Disability Act, 2020, under Section 4 provides for the
establishment of the Vihiga County Board for Persons with Disability. The functions of
the Board are stipulated in section 8 of the Act.

Pursuant to the above provisions, the department invites expression of interest for the
positions of the Chairperson and Members of the Vihiga County Boards for Persons
with Disabilities.

Qualification of the Chairperson of the Board.

a. Is a Kenyan Citizen.
b. Has actively contributed to the promotion of interests of persons with
disabilities.
c. Is not an official of any political party registered in Kenya.
d. Satisfies the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

Qualifications for members of the Board

a. Has actively contributed to the promotion of interests of persons with

disabilities.
b. Is not an official of any political party registered in Kenya.
c. Satisfies the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
All applications should be addressed to the County Executive Committee
Member responsible for Youth, Sports, Culture, Gender and Social Services.
Applications must be accompanied with:

a) A copy of Kenyan ID or passport.

b) A copy of the KRA PIN.
c) A copy of the academic, professional and other achievements of the applicants.
d) All updated documents of compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of
Kenya 2010

Applications should be hand-delivered to Room 214, 2nd Floor at the County

Commissioners (D.C) building in Mbale Town, Vihiga County, not later than 24th
October 2023 from today.
