Week 5 Homework:

Reflect and Write: “Lunsford 25”

1. What is your plan for evaluating sources?

a. When evaluating a source, it is very important to keep an eye in the basic

articles/journal characteristics. For example: you need to check that the source has

a proper title, more than 10 pages, properly organized, more than a page of

sources, etc. It is also important to learn to read with the lateral eye to not waste

time and be efficient. Also, when searching for sources, it is important that you

consider all perspectives. You need to have sources that work as evidence for

your research and sources that will help you respond to a counterargument.

2. Do you foresee any challenges?

a. I personally face issues with lateral reading, is very hard for me to properly

understand a topic without giving my all attention. Maybe is because I am not

reading in my native language.

3. Where do you feel most confident?

a. I feel very confident in being able to identify if a source useful and peer-reviewed

or not.
