Program Manager
School of Liberal Arts and Socials Sciences (SLASS)
Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB)

Independent University of Bangladesh is inviting application from eligible Bangladeshi Citizens for the
position of ‘program manager’ at its School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. The position is initially
contractual for two years with possibilities of extension and regularization. The key responsibilities for
the position include but not limited to:

• Record keeping, data management and preparing analytical reports on academic program
management and development.
• Carrying out academic and co-curricular program promotion activities.
• Supporting student admission and registration process at the school.
• Research management support activities for school and its units.
• Supporting the school and units in organizing academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular
events.
• Coordinating student advise and supports services.
• Data and document management at the school level.
• Effective communication and liaison with intra-IUB offices and external stakeholders and actors
in public, private and media sector.
• Experience in media content creation will be an added advantage.
• Any other pertinent task or responsibilities assigned by the school and IUB authority.

Eligibility
• A master’s degree in social sciences/arts/business administration/education.
• With Bachelor’s degree in social sciences/arts from a reputed university.
• Minimum two years of experience in academic program management roles with a tertiary
institution.
• A high standard of written and verbal communication skill both in English and Bengali.
• High proficiency as a Microsoft Office user
• A high standard of interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
• Ability and willingness to take up challenges and work under challenging conditions.
• Familiarity with academic work culture and norms.
• Multi-tasking skills: ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to work well under strict deadlines.
• No degree with third class will be eligible.
• Aged not more than 35 in the time of applying.
