‫عن أمير املؤمنين أبي حفص عمر بن الخطاب رض ي هللا عنه‬
‫قال سمعت رسول هللا صلى هللا عليه وسلم يقول‪:‬‬

, ‫ وأحصن ِللفر ِج‬,‫ ف ِإنه أغض ِللبص ِر‬, ‫فليتزوج‬

‫ومن لم يست ِطع فعلي ِه ِبالصو ِم ; ف ِإنه له ِوجاء‬
Abdullah bin Masud (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: "O young men, those of you who can
support a wife should marry, for it (marriage) controls the gaze and
preserves one from immorality. And whoever cannot (marry) should
fast, for it is a means of reducing the sexual desire."

Abu Hurairah (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: "A woman is married for four qualities,
for her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion: so get the
religious one and prosper."

Abdullah bin Umar (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “The whole world is to be enjoyed, but
the best thing in the world is a good woman.”

Abu Saeed AlKhudri (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “The world is sweet and verdant, and
Allah having put you in it in your turn watches how you act; so fear the
world and fear women, for the first trial of the B. Isra’il had to do with
women."

Ibn Umar (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the messenger of
Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: Misfortune arises concerning a woman, a house and a horse.

Maqil bin Yasar (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “Marry women who are loving and very
prolific, for I shall outnumber the peoples by you."

Ibn Abbas (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “You have seen nothing like marriage for
increasing the love of two people.”

Abu Umamah (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬used to say: “After fear of Allah a believer
gains nothing better for him than a good wife who obeys him if he
gives her a command, pleases him if he looks at her, is true to him if he
instructs her to do something, and is sincere towards him regarding her
person and his property if he is absent.”

Anas (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the messenger of
Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “When a man marries he has fulfilled half of the
religion; so let him fear God regarding the remaining half.”

which involves least burden.”

‫‪Jabir (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the messenger of‬‬
‫‪) said: “A man must not spend the night in the house of a‬ﷺ( ‪Allâh‬‬
‫‪woman who has been married unless he is her husband or a close‬‬

‫ِإياكم والدخول على ِ‬

‫َّللا أرأيت الحمو؟ قال‪« :‬الحمو اْلوت‬ ‫رسو ِ‬
 Uqbah bin Amir (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “Avoid going in where women are.” A
man said, “Messenger of Allah, tell me about the relatives of a woman’s
husband,” to which he replied, “The relatives of a woman’s husband
are death.”*

Ibn Mas’ud (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “A woman should be concealed, for
when she goes out the devil looks at her.”*

Ibn Umar (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “"Avoid being naked, for with you are
those who never leave you (the recording angels) except when you are
relieving yourselves and when a man has relations with his wife; so
observe modesty before them and honour them.”

Umm Salama (May Allâh be pleased with her) said I was with Allah’s
Messenger along with Maimuna when Ibn Umm Maktum approached
and came in to visit him, so he told us to veil ourselves. I said,
"Messenger of Allah, is he not blind and unable to see us?” He replied,
"Are you blind and unable to see him?”

makes a third.”

‫‪Abu Umamah (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the‬‬
‫‪) said: "“If any Muslim happens to look at a‬ﷺ( ‪messenger of Allâh‬‬
‫‪woman’s beauties and then lowers his eyes, Allah will produce for him‬‬
‫”‪an act of worship whose sweetness he will experience.‬‬

‫عن أبي سعيد و ابن عباس‪ :‬قال رسول هللا صلى هللا عليه و سلم‪:‬‬
‫َمن ُو َلد ُله ولد ْفل ُيحسن َ‬
‫اسمه و َأد َبه‪ ،‬فإذا‬ ‫ِ ِ‬
‫ْ‬ ‫ّ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫ّ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫ََ َ‬
‫زوجه‪ ،‬فإن بلغ و لم يز ِوجه فأصاب‬ ‫بلغ فلي ِ‬
‫ً‬
‫إثما‪ ،‬فإثم ذلك عليه‬
Sayidina Abu Sa’eed and Ibn Abbas (May Allâh be pleased with them)
both narrated that Allah’s Messenger ‫ ﷺ‬said: ‘When a son is born to
anyone, he should give him a good name and a good training. And,
when he attains puberty, he should marry him. If he does not marry
him when he attains puberty and he commits a sin, then the sin is
blamed on his father.’

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (May Allâh be pleased with him)
that the Messenger of Allah ‫ ﷺ‬said: “Every important matter that does
not start with praise of Allah, is devoid (of blessings).”

‫فأخبرنا عن بد ِء الخل ِق حتى دخل أهل الجن ِة‬

ِ ‫ ح ِف‬،‫ وأهل الن ِارمنا ِزلهم‬،‫منا ِزلهم‬

It was narrated from Tariq bin Shihab (May Allâh be pleased with him)
that I heard Umar (May Allâh be pleased with him) saying: One day the
Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬stood up amongst us for a long period and informed us
about the beginning of creation (and talked about everything in detail)
till he mentioned how the people of Paradise will enter their places and
the people of Hell will enter their places. Some remembered what he
had said, and some forgot it.

'A'isha (May Allâh be pleased with her) reported that Allah's Messenger
(‫ )ﷺ‬said: The Angels were born out of light and the Jinns were born
out of the spark of fire and Adam was born as he has been defined (in
the Qur'an) for you (i. e. he is fashioned out of clay).

Abu Huraira (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that Allah's
Messenger (‫ )ﷺ‬took hold of my hands and said:
‘Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, created the clay on Saturday and He
created the mountains on Sunday and He created the trees on Monday
and He created the things entailing labour on Tuesday and created light
on Wednesday and He caused the animals to spread on Thursday and
created Adam (peace be upon him) after 'Asr on Friday; the last
creation at the last hour of the hours of Friday, i. e. between afternoon
and night.’

 Abu Hurairah (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that Allah's
Messenger (‫ )ﷺ‬said, "I have been sent (as an Apostle) in the best of all
the generations of Adam's offspring since their Creation."

Narrated Abu Sa'eed (May Allâh be pleased with him) that the
Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬said: "I am the master of the children of Adam
on the Day of Judgement, and I am not boasting. The Banner of Praise
will be in my hand, and I am not boasting. There will not be a Prophet
on that day, not Adam nor anyone other than him, except that he will
be under my banner. And I am the first one for whom the earth will be
opened for, and I am not bragging."

Anas b. Malik (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬said:
I will come to the gate of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection. and
would seek its opening. and the keeper would say: Who art thou? I
would say: Muhammad. He would then say: It is for thee that I have
been ordered, and not to open it for anyone before thee.

Abu Hurairah (May Allâh be pleased with him) said that Allah's
Messenger (‫ )ﷺ‬said, "I have been sent with 'Jawami-al-Kalim ' (the
shortest expression with the widest meaning) and have been made
victorious with awe (cast in my enemy's hearts), and while I was
sleeping, I saw that the keys of the treasures of the world were placed
in my hand." Abu Hurairah added: Allah's Messenger (‫ )ﷺ‬has gone,
and you people are utilizing those treasures, or digging those treasures
out." Or said a similar sentence.

Narrated Abu Hurairah (May Allâh be pleased with him) that the
Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬said: "Ask Allah to grant me Al-Wasilah." They
said: "O Messenger of Allah! And what is Al-Wasilah?" He said: "The
highest level of Paradise. No one will attain it except for one man, and I
hope that I am him."

:‫وعن جابر أن النبي ﷺ قال‬

‫إن للا بعثني لتمام مكارم اِلخالق و تمام‬

Jabir (May Allâh be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of
said: Verily, Allah has sent me to perfect noble morals and ‫ﷺ‬Allah
complete good deeds

Narrated Muawiyah (May Allâh be pleased with him), I heard the
Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬say: “Authority of ruling will remain with Quraish, and
whoever bears hostility to them, Allah will destroy him as long as they
abide by the laws of the religion.”

his father that the Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬said: "Whoever wishes to humiliate the
Quraish then Allah will humiliate him."

‫أ ِحبوا العرب ِلثالث ِلني عربي والقر‬

‫وكالم أهل الجنة َعربي‬

Ibn Abbas (May Allâh be pleased with him) narrated that the
Messenger of Allah ‫ ﷺ‬said: Love Arabs for three reasons: I am an Arab,
the inhabitants of Jannah (Paradise) speak Arabic, and the Glorious
Qur'an is revealed in Arabic.

‫‪ said: "Leadership is among the Quraish, and reasoning‬ﷺ ‪Messenger‬‬
‫‪and judgment is among the Ansar, and the Adhan is among the‬‬
‫)‪Ethiopians, and the trust is among the Al-Azd." (Meaning Yemen.‬‬

‫َو َم ْن َآذى َّ َ‬
‫ِ‬
 Abdullah Ibn Mughfal (May Allâh be pleased with him), reports that
the Messenger ‫ ﷺ‬said: "(Fear) Allah! (Fear) Allah regarding my
Companions! Do not make them objects of insults after me. Whoever
loves them, it is out of love of me that he loves them. And whoever
hates them, it is out of hatred for me that he hates them. And whoever
harms them, he has harmed me, and whoever harms me, he has
offended Allah, and whoever offends Allah, [then] he shall soon be
punished."

Anas (May Allâh be pleased with him), reports that the Messenger ‫ﷺ‬
said : “The likeness of my Companions is like salt in food. Food is not
good without it.” Hasan Basri would say, “Our salt has disappeared;
what good is left in us? (Sharhis Sunnah)

Abdullah Ibn Buraidah (May Allâh be pleased with him), reports from
his father that the Messenger ‫ ﷺ‬said: "There is no one among my
Companions who dies in a land except that he shall be resurrected as a
guide and light for them (people of that land) on the Day of
Resurrection."

Ibn Umar (May Allâh be pleased with him), reports from the Messenger
‫ﷺ‬: "If you see those who abuse my Companions, then say: 'May
Allah's curse be upon the worst of you.'

‫بمنزلة النجوم في السماء بعضها أقوى من‬

ً ‫عليه من اختالفهم فهو عندي على‬
‫هدى قال‬

‫قال رسول للا صلى للا عليه و سلم أصحابي‬
ّ ‫كالنجوم‬
‫فبأيهم اقتديتم اهتديتم‬
Umar (May Allâh be pleased with him), narrated that I heard the
Messenger of Allah ‫ ﷺ‬saying"I asked my Lord about the disagreement
among my companions after my death. He sent me a revelation ‘O
Muhammad in my sight, your companion are like the stars in the sky,
some stronger than the others but all have light. So if anyone adopts
anything on which they differ he is in my Esteem rightly guided’ Umar
(May Allâh be pleased with him), added that the Messenger of Allah ‫ﷺ‬
said “My Companions are like the stars, whichever of them you follow
you will be rightly guided.”
