‫عن أمير املؤمنين أبي حفص عمر بن الخطاب رض ي هللا عنه‬
‫قال سمعت رسول هللا صلى هللا عليه وسلم يقول‪:‬‬

‫ات َو ِإ َّن َما ِلك ِل ْام ِر ٍئ َما ن َوى ف َم ْن كان ْت ِه ْج َرت ُه‬ ‫ي‬‫َّ‬
‫ِ ِ ِ‬ ‫الن‬‫ب‬ ‫ُ‬
‫ال‬ ‫َ‬
‫م‬ ‫األ ْ‬
‫ع‬ ‫ِإنما‬

ِ ‫َّللا وأن محمدا رسول‬
،‫ و ِإق ِام الصَل ِة‬،‫َّللا‬

‫ضان‬ ‫ وصو ِم رم‬،‫ والح ِج‬،‫َو ِإيت ِاء الزك ِاة‬
Ibn ‘Umar (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said:
“Islâm is built upon five things – to bear witness that there is no deity
but Allâh and that Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) is His messenger,
to establish the prayer, to pay Zakat, to perform the pilgrimage and to
fast in Ramadhân.”

Abû Hurairah (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “Emân (faith) consists of seventy and
some odd branches, out of which the best branch is to say that ‘there is
no deity but Allâh’ and its most insignificant branch is to remove a
harmful object from the pathway, And modesty is a branch of faith.”

‫اجرمن هجرما نهى هللا عنه‬ ِ ‫اْله‬
Abdullah bin Amar (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger
of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “A Muslim is he from whom whose tongue and hands other
Muslims are safe from and an emigrant is he who abandons what Allah has
forbidden.”

‫عن العباس بن عبد املطلب قال‪ ،‬قال رسول هللا صلى هللا عليه و سلم‪:‬‬

‫اَّلل ربا و ِب ِ‬
‫اْليم ِان من ر ِض ي ِب ِ‬ ‫ذاق طعم ِ‬
‫ِدينا َو ِب ُم َح َّمد َر ُسوال‬
‫‪Abbâs bin abdil-Muttalib (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported the‬‬
‫‪ said: “He has tasted the sweetness of faith who‬ﷺ ‪Messenger of Allâh‬‬
‫‪is content with Allâh as his Lord, Islâm his religion, and Muhammad‬‬
‫”‪) as his prophet.‬ﷺ(‬

ِ ‫هذا شيئا و ال انقص ِمنه فلما ولى قال‬

‫صلى هللا علي ِه و سلم من سره ان ينظر ِالى‬
َ ُ ْ ْ َ َّ ْ َ
‫َر ُجل ِم ْن ا ْه ِل ال َجن ِة فل َينظر ِالى هذا‬
Abû Hurairah (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that A Bedouin
came to the Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬and said: “Tell me of an action that if I act upon
it, I will enter Paradise”. He said: “You worship Allah and you do not
associate with him any partners and you observe your fixed prayers
and you give your obligatory fasts and you fast the month of
Ramadan.” He said: “I take an oath on that being in whose hands my
life is that I will not add anything to this nor will I fall short of it.” When
he turned away, the Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬said: “Whoever wishes to see a man
from the inhabitants of Paradise, he should look towards this man.”

‫عن أبي سعيد الخدري قال‪ ،‬قال خرج رسول هللا صلى هللا عليه و سلم في اضحى‬
‫او فطر الى املصلى فقال‪:‬‬

‫ال َف َذال َك منْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ُ َ ّ َ َ ْ َ ُ ْ ُْ َ ََ َ‬
‫تص ِل و لم تصم ؟ قلن بلى ق‬
‫ِ ِ‬
‫ص ِان ِد ْي ِن َها‬ ‫ُن ْق َ‬
‫‪Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (Peace be upon Him) has said:‬‬
‫‪ left on the day of Adhaa or Fitr towards the place of‬ﷺ ‪“The Prophet‬‬
‫!‪prayer when he came across some women and said: “Oh womenfolk‬‬
Give alms! For indeed I have seen you as the majority of the inhabitants
of Hell.” They said: “For what reason, Oh Messenger of Allah?” He said:
“You are greatly given to abuse and are ungrateful to husbands. Among
women are those deficient in intelligence and religion, I have not seen
anyone able to remove the understanding of a prudent man than you.”
They said: “What is the deficiency of our religion and our intelligence,
Oh Messenger of Allah?” He said: “Is the testimony of a woman not half
the testimony of a man?” They said: “Yes.” He said: “For that is the
deficiency in her intelligence.” He said: “Is it not that when a woman
menstruates she does not pray and does not fast?” They said: “Yes.” He
said: “For that is the deficiency of her religion.”

Abu Umamah (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
Messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “Whoever loves for the sake of Allah and
hates for the sake of Allah and gives for the sake of Allah and stops for
the sake of Allah, then his faith has been completed.”

‫هللا علي ِه و سلم ما اْلوجبتان قال من مات‬
‫َ َ‬ ‫َ َّ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ُي ْشر ُ‬
‫اَّلل ش ْيئا َدخ َل الن َار َو َم ْن َمات ال‬ ‫ب‬
‫ِ ِ ِ‬‫ك‬
‫َ ْ َ َ َ َ َّ َ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫ُ ْ‬
‫يش ِرك ِباهلل شيئا دخل الجنة‬
‫‪Jabir (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of‬‬
‫‪) said “Two things have results.” A man asked: “Oh Messenger‬ﷺ( ‪Allâh‬‬
‫‪of Allah! What are the two things?” He said, “He who dies associating‬‬
‫‪partners with Allah, will enter Hell and he who dies worshipping Allah‬‬
‫”‪alone will enter Paradise.‬‬

‫عن وهب بن منبه قيل له‪:‬‬
‫الج َّن ِة َق َ‬
‫ال َبلى وَ‬ ‫س َال ا َله ا ّال هللا م ْف َتاح َ‬
‫َ‬ ‫َأ َليْ‬
‫ِ‬ ‫ِ ِ‬
‫ْ َْ َ َْ ٌ َّ َ َ ُ َ ْ َ ٌ َ ْ ْ َ‬
‫لكن ليس ِمفتاح ِاال و له اسنان فإن ِجئت‬ ‫ِ‬
‫َّ َ ْ َ َ‬ ‫َْ َُ َ ْ َ ٌ ُ َ‬
‫ان ف ِت َح ل َك َو إال ل ْم ُيفت ْح ل َك‬ ‫ِب ِمفتاح له اسن‬
 It is reported by Wahab bin Munabbah that a man said to him: “Is
‘There is no god but Allah,’ not the key to Paradise?” He said: “Yes, but a
key is not a key unless it has teeth. If you bring a key with teeth then it
will open for you and if not then it will not open for you.

،‫تكتب له ِبعش ِرأمث ِالها ِإلى سبع ِمائ ِة ِضعف‬
َ‫َو ُك ُّل َس ّي َئة َي ْع َم ُل َها ُت ْك َت ُب بم ْثل َها َح َّتى َلق َى ََّّللا‬

Abû Hurairah (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported the Messenger
of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said:
“If any one of you perfects his Islâm, then his good deeds will be
rewarded ten to seven hundred times, and every bad deed
will be recorded as it is until he meets Allâh.”

Abû Umamah (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that a man
asked the Messenger of Allah ‫ﷺ‬: “What is faith?” He said: “When your
good pleases you and your bad grieves you, then you are a believer.”
He said: “Oh Messenger of Allah! What is a sin?” He said: “When
something is besettling within you, leave it.”

َ ‫ِل َسان َك في ِذكرهللا ق‬
‫ال َو َماذا َيا َر ُس ْو َل هللا‬ ِ ِ
َ‫ال َو َا ْن ُتح َّب ل َّلناس َما ُتح ُّب ل َن ْفس َك َو ُتكره‬

‫ل ُهم َما تك ِر ُه ِلنف ِسك‬
Ma’aadh bin jabal (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that
he asked the Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬on the best form of Faith. He said: “That you
love for the sake of Allah and you hate for the sake of Allah and you
employ your tongue in the remembrance of Allah.” He said “What
more, Oh Messenger of Allah?” He said: “You love for people what you
love for yourself and dislike for them what you dislike for others.”

‫الو ِال َد ْي ِن َو قت ُل‬ ِ ِ
ُ ‫اْلش َر‬ ‫الكبا ِئر‬
َ ُ ْ َ َ ْ َّ
ُ‫الغ ُم ْوس‬ ‫س و الي ِمین‬ ِ ‫النف‬
Abdullah ibn Amr (May Allâh be pleased with him) narrated the
Messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said:
“The major sins are associating partners with Allah, disobedience
towards parents, killing a person and taking a dishonest oath.”

:‫ قال رسول هللا صلى هللا عليه و سلم‬،‫عن أبي هريرة قال‬

ِ ‫ِإذ ْا زنى العبد خرج ِمنه‬

‫َرأ ِس ِه كالظل ِة ف ِإذا خرج ِمن ذ ِلك العم ِل‬

‫اْل َيمان‬
ِ ‫رجع ِإلي ِه‬
Abû Hurairah (May Allâh be pleased with him) narrated the Messenger
of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said:
“When a servant of Allâh engages in fornication, Emân (faith) leaves
him and hovers over his head as a shadow and so when he stops
comitting that action his Emân returns to him.”

‫عن أبي هريرة قال‪ ،‬قال رسول هللا صلى هللا عليه و سلم‪:‬‬
‫َّ َّ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َز َ ْ ُ َّ َ َ ْ َ َ ْ‬
‫ِإن َّللا تعالى تجاو عن أم ِتي ما وسوست ِب ِه‬
‫ص ُد ُور َها َما َل ْم َت ْع َم ْل به َأ ْو َت َك َّلمْ‬
‫ُ‬
‫ِِ‬
‫‪Abû Hurairah (May Allâh be pleased with him) narrates the Messenger‬‬
‫‪) said, “Indeed Allâh has overlooked for my Ummah‬ﷺ( ‪of Allâh‬‬
‫‪the whisperings that occur in their hearts as long as they do not act‬‬
‫”‪upon or speak about it.‬‬

Ibn Masood (May Allâh be pleased with him) narrated the Messenger
of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said, “Every one of you has a partner with him from the
Jinn and a partner from the angels.” They said: “Does this apply to you
also, oh Messenger of Allah?” He said: “Yes but Allah has aided me and

‫‪Abdullah bin ‘Amr (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported the‬‬

Sahl bin Sa’d (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported the Messenger
of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “A man may do the deeds of the people of the
Fire whilst in fact he is from the people of Paradise, and he may do
the deeds of the people of Paradise whilst he belongs to the
people of Fire, and verily, actions are according to the sealing
states.”

Abdullah ibn Amr reported Allah’s Messenger (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “Verily, the
hearts of the Children of Adam, all of them, are between the two fingers
of the Most Merciful as one heart. He directs them as he wishes, then
Allâhs’ messenger said: ‘O Allâh, the turner of the hearts, turn our
hearts towards your obedience.”

Alî (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that Allâhs’ Messenger
(Peace and blessing be upon Him) said: “No one is a Believer unless he
believes in four things: He testifies that there is no God but Allâh and
that I am Allâhs’ Messenger and He sent me with the truth,
He believes in death and in resurrection after death,
and he believes in predestination.”

It is narrated from the Hadith of ‘Abdullah ibn Umar that the
Messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “When any one of you dies, he is shown
his place morning and evening. If he is one of the people of Paradise,
then of the place of the people of Paradise, and if he is one of the
people of Hell, then the place of one of the people of Hell, and he is
told, ‘This is your abode until Allah raises you on the Day of
Resurrection.”

It is reported by 'Uthmân (May Allâh be pleased with him) the Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬would
stand by the grave of the deceased after burial and say
“Seek forgiveness for your brother and pray for his steadfastness, because he is
now being questioned.”

may observe my prayer.”’

Aâ’ishah (May Allâh he pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allâh (‫)ﷺ‬
said: “As to what follows, verily the best of speech is the book of Allâh, and the best
of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (‫ )ﷺ‬and the worst of all matters is the
innovated ones,
and every innovation is a misguidance.”

“Every one of my followers will enter into paradise except he who
refused, he was questioned ‘Who has refused the truth?’
He replied, “Whoever obeys me shall enter Paradise
and whomsoever disobeys me has refused.”

to you which neither you nor your forefathers will have heard, stay
away from these deceitful people and do not let them come near you!
Do not be misguided by them and do not let them cause strife amongst

of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said “I do not want to find anyone of you reclining on his
pillow and when news comes to him of something that I have
commanded or forbidden, he says, 'I do not know, whatever we find in
the Book of Allâh, we will follow.’”

Abdullah bin Masûd reported that the messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said:
“Follow the majority of the Muslims, for whoever becomes separate will
be separate in Hell.”

Ibn Masûd narrates that the Messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “There is no envy
except for two; a man whom Allâh has granted wealth and whom he gave
power for spending it for the cause of truth, and a man whom Allâh has
bestowed wisdom and so he acts according to it and teaches others it.”

Abû Hurairah reported that the messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “When a
man dies all his actions are cut off from him except three, continous
charity, knowledge from which benefit is derived, or a virtuous son
who prays for him.”

Abû Sa’îd al-Khudrî (May Allâh be pleased with him) reported that the
Messenger of Allâh (‫ )ﷺ‬said:
“A believer is never satiated with good (knowledge) he hears; he
continues acquiring it till his end is Paradise.”

This sacred knowledge will be borne by the reliable authorities of each
sucessive generation who will preserve it, and remove from it the
 alterations of those guilty of exaggeration, the plagiarism of the
corrupt, and the false interpretations of the ignorant.”

Abû Dardâ said: “The worst man in rank in the sight of Allâh on the day
of resurrection will be the learned man who did not benefit from his
