HYDRAULIC CRANES

INTRODUCTION

The hydraulic crane are heavy duty equipment that rely on a internal hydraulic system to
hoist and lift heavy loads. These machines are used for loading, unloading, shifting and erecting
materials.

TELESCOPIC BOOM ASSEMBLY

Boom telescoping is accomplished by means of a double acting hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic
oil supply to the jack is controlled by means of directional control valve.

The telescopic speeds can be achieved by the engine throttle.

BOOM FUNCTIONS

For telescopic out the control lever is pushed forward thus supply hydraulic oil under pressure
to the rear end of the cylinder.

For telescopic in the control lever is pulled back, thus reserve the hydraulic oil supply to the
other end of the cylinder.

BOOM PARTS

 Main boom/mother boom

 1 extenction
 2 extenction
 Jib head
 Pulley block
