Reading Month Celebration Work Plan

I. Introduction

“ The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you
learn, the more places you’ll go.”

I can read with my eyes shut—Dr. Suess

Reading as one of the essential part in learning is celebrated at the month of

November, having different activities that will inculcate the love for reading
is given emphasis as we celebrated the reading month.

DepEd being committed in ensuring that learners improved their reading

performance as one of the priorities in the Learning Recovery Plan all
schools and learning centers are enjoined to conduct the a celebration of
“Araw ng Pagbasa” with its legal basis Republic Act No. 10566.

Dapdap Elementary School will have their Reading Month Celebration in

accordance to the Memorandum DM-CI-2022-389.

II. General Objectives

Reading Month Celebration aims to:

a. Develop genuine love for reading.

b. Improve the reading performance of the learners.
c. Enhance learners vocabulary.
d. Teach learners the camaraderie and collaboration in each of the activities
that will be held.
