Note: The warning indicator (1) has two colors. The colors of the indicator are amber and red. The indicator will
flash amber or red for usual warning levels. If communication with the CAN data link is lost to the display module,
the amber indicator will flash.

The monitoring system has the following three warning levels for events:

Warning Level 1 - Warning level 1 does not alert the operator that a warning has occurred. Warning level 1 does not
affect the operation of the machine. Warning level 1 is recorded. This warning may be viewed from the "Diagnostics"
menu of the display. Warning level 1 may also be viewed with Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET).

Level 2 - Warning level 2 requires changing the operation of the machine or performing a maintenance procedure.
Failure to correct the problem that caused this warning may result in damage to the involved components or the
involved system of the machine.

Level 3 - Warning level 3 requires an immediate safe shutdown of the machine in order to avoid damage to the
machine or injury to personnel around the machine. The problem that caused the event must be corrected before
machine operation can resume.

Note: Certain conditions will allow the machine to be operated in the limp home mode.

Table 1 indicates the status of the alarm and "Check Monitor" indicator for each warning level.

If the monitoring system detects an abnormal operating condition, the operator will be notified.
