Service guide: Starting aid & axle lift Wabco EBS E and Knorr EBS G2
The following instructions are to be considered as a continuous description.
They provide information which is as comprehensive as possible.
The starting aid as well as the axle lift deactivator are switched by a positive signal in the Wabco EBS E
Version and Knorr EBS G2 units. This can be triggered in the tractor either by a pushbutton (factory
recommendation) or using a switch. The Schmitz Cargobull 3 axle reefer and curtainsider semitrailers with
Wabco EBS E Version and Knorr EBS G2 are equipped as standard for switching from the tractor.
As functioning is controlled via the EBS electronics, it is necessary that the ignition current or current feed is
provided via the ISO 7638 socket.

1. With the (15 pin) ISO 12098 socket, axle lift

functions can only be controlled via PIN 14
(Starting aid and deactivation of the axle lift)
.

activated by applying current to the socket (see

5. Resetting of the functions in the axle lift automatic

unit is possible by a brief double activation of the
