B. Engage
“Are you now excited on our “Yes Sir”
lesson for today?”

“Okay very good”

“have you ever wondered why is “no sir”
the plants are green?”

“So the reason why is the plants

is green its because of the
presence of chlorophyll
pigments”

“Chlorophyll gives plants their

green color because it does not
absorb the green wavelengths
of white light.”

C. Exploration

“Now can you tell me some “Mango sir"

different plants that can you see
here in school?”

“What are the different parts of “roots, stem, leaf, flower, fruits”
the plants that you can see?”

“Okay very good”

D. Explanation

“o now, let's talk about their

function”

“lets start with the roots”

““Roots absorb water and

minerals and transport them
to stems. They also anchor and
support a plant, and store food.”

“The stem transports water

and nutrients up from the
roots all the way to the
leaves, and the stem transports
sugars from the leaves to the
rest of the plant. Stems support
leaves, flowers, and fruits.”

“All leaves change sunlight

into energy through
photosynthesis. The leaves
are the primary food-making
part of the plant. Leaves absorb
carbon dioxide from the air,
combine it with water that
comes through the roots of the
plants to make food (a sugar
molecule known as glucose),
and release oxygen into the air.”

“The most important function of

flowers is reproduction. They
help in the union of male and
female gametes. Flowers
provide nectar to certain birds
and insects, which in turn help
in the transfer of pollen from one
flower to the other.”

“One of the main functions of a

fruit is to spread the seeds and
allow the plant to reproduce.
Therefore, all flowering plants
produce fruit, regardless of
whether the fruit is edible,
sweet, or soft.”

“Do you understand class?” “Yes, Sir “

E. Elaboration
“Alright everyone! We will have “Yes Sir”
an activity for this activity, were
going to divide into 2 groups.”
“let’s begin counting from 1 to 5” “1,2,1,2”
“I want you to gather with you
group members.”

“Group 1 stays in the right side “Yes, ma’am”

and Group stays in the left side”

“Each group must have a two

participants”

“I have here a picture, all you

have to do is to arrange in the
form of plants”

“the first group to finish is the

winner”

“ Are you ready ?” “Yes sir”

“okay start”

“we have a winner group #”

“lets give them five claps” “Students clapping”

“Okay please go back to your
