class.

“Understood class?”

“Yes teacher”

5. REVIEW

“Yesterday, we’ve tackled about the

offspring of both animals and humans.
Let’s check if you still remember the
terms of the mother and its offspring.

Example:

(Shows pictures of Pig and

piglet)

“This is mother pig and her baby called

Piglet”

“Next picture, please raise your right

hand if you want to answer”
(Learners raises their hands)
(Shows picture of woman and her
baby)
“Woman and baby teacher!”
“Okay Gino, please answer”

(Learners raises their hands)

“Good job! Next”

(Shows illustration of hen and chicks”

“Hen and chicks’ teacher!”
“Your turn Babylinda”

(Learners raises their hands)

“Very good!”

“For the last one”

(Shows picture of dog and puppy)

“Okay, let’s hear Marchie”

“Mother dog and puppy teacher!”
“Very well to all of you class, let’s give

ourselves a round of applause”

(Claps)

• MOTIVATION

“Before we finally proceed to our next

lesson let’s have an activity; to give you
hints for the next topic”

“Does anyone have ideas about our

next topic?”

“Let’s observe the picture and tell

me what’s lacking”
“None teacher”
(Shows a pale plant exposed in the
sun)

“Okay take a guess class”

“Okay, another answer” “Uh, soil teacher?”

“More answer” “Umbrella teacher?”

“Water teacher?”

“Okay, someone got the correct

answer. But for additional thrill, I’m not
going to tell which one is accurate.
Now get ready and sit properly.
Moreover, I’m going to give reward to
that person who guessed it right,
She/he will receive an emoji eraser
after the class”

“NOW, Are you all excited for our next

lesson?” “YES teacher!”

B. LESSON PROPER

1. PRESENTATION

“Since everyone is ready to learn, I

Paredes, Rachel Mae C. BECEd-3
ECE-ST
have here the objective for today’s
lesson.”

At the end of our 45 minutes, students

are expected to:
1. Identify the basic needs of
humans, plants and animals
such as air, food, water, and
shelter.
2. Observe environmental
factors affecting the life cycle
of humans, plants and
animals.
3. Generalize the role of
environment in their daily
lives.

“Thus, this morning we are going to

know the environmental factors
affecting the life cycle humans, plants
and animals”

2. DISCUSSION

“Our environment plays an important

role to all living things. It is where they
get their food, water; shelter, air and
other needed materials for them to
carry out their life processes. It is
impossible for the organisms to live
without the support of environment.
Hence, when the environment
changes, some plants and animals are
affected in terms of their survival and
reproduction. Others will die or move to
new locations.”

We have 4 environmental factors that

are necessary among humans, plants
and animals and these are
Paredes, Rachel Mae C. BECEd-3
ECE-ST
interdependent with each other.

First is food it is an environmental (Learners raises their hands)

factor needed by all animals and
humans. They use it to get energy and
perform life processes. Food is also
needed for organisms’ growth and
development of the body.

Who among you here ate breakfast?

“Me teacher!”

Good class. Eating food is necessary

for animals and our body to work.

Next is water, animals, humans and

plants need water to survive. Majority
of the living things require water to
break down food bits or generate
energy during the respiration process.
Water also helps regulate metabolism
and dissolves compounds going into or
out of the body.

“When we feel thirsty, this factor is

what we need to ease the thirst.
Because our body demands water
every day. “

That’s why; we must drink plenty of

water.

“Who among you here brought water?”

Majority: “Me teacher!”

“Good to know class”

“Therefore, the illustration earlier about

the pale plant signifies the necessity of
Paredes, Rachel Mae C. BECEd-3
ECE-ST
water.”

“To proceed, the third one is shelter;

the shelter protects the living things
from other animals and extreme
weather. Shelter also provides space
for eating, sleeping, hunting, and
raising a family. Shelters come in many
forms. A single tree for example, can
provide inhabitants for different
organisms”

“For humans, we live in our houses”

“The last factor is air; air is an

important factor in the environment
because it contains the gases
necessary to support plants, animals,
humans and other organisms. All living
animals require oxygen to breath
including us humans. Plants on the
other hand need carbon dioxide to
survive. Through inhaling and exhaling,
we can absorb and eject air around
us”.

Okay, try to inhale and exhale three times. (Students demonstrate the task)

“Those are the 4 factors that humans,

animals and plants need for survival.
Do you have clarifications to address?”
“None teacher”

“Alright, let’s proceed to another activity

brought to us by Teacher Epher”

3.APPLICATION

“Class, I’ll be grouping you for 3

groups. The first group is from Ayag-
Cudada, Latiban-Odtojan, Pangulibay-
Vapor.”
Paredes, Rachel Mae C. BECEd-3
ECE-ST
“I have a question here.”

“How can you help maintain an

environment that can sustain the needs
and life cycle of different animals,
plants and humans? Answer this
question through searching a web
picture. I’ll give you 3 minutes to search
for pictures and 5 minutes for
explanation. Afterwards, share it on
the screen. Just pick 1 representative
for your groups to explain.

“Are we clear?”

“Yes teacher!”
“Now, form with your group mates. And
make use of the time”
(Making of the task)

“Groups, are you done?”

“Not yet teacher”

“Okay, hurry up because the time is

running”
“Yes teacher”
“The time is over, group 1 show your
chosen picture and explain”
(Learners responds)

4. GENERALIZATION

This morning we’ve learned about the

needs of plants, animals and humans
or in other terms the environmental
factors affecting the life cycle of living
things.

“Since you don’t have any

clarifications. I’ll be asking questions to
check your understanding towards the
Paredes, Rachel Mae C. BECEd-3
ECE-ST
lesson.”

Please raise your right hands if you

want to answer:

1. This is where humans,

animals and plants get (Learners raises their hands)
their food, shelter, water “Environment teacher”
and air.

“Very good”

2. this factor is essential for

the growth and
development of both
“Food teacher”
animals and humans.

“Very good”

3. _____ protects human

and animals from other
animals and extreme
weather. “Shelter teacher”

“Very good”

4. The ____ is considered

as the most important
factor in the environment
because it contains the
gases necessary to
support plants, animals, “Air teacher”
humans and other living
things.

“Great job”

5. Plants, humans and

animals need _____ to
break down food
molecules or generate
energy during the “Water teacher”
respiration process.
Paredes, Rachel Mae C. BECEd-3
ECE-ST
“Very good”

6. When the environment

changes and the factors
are negatively affected
and it may lead to _____ “Death and move to other locations”
and they _______.

“Very good class, it’s good to know that

you’ve learned a lot about our lesson.”

IV- Evaluation

“To further evaluate your learning,

please bring out your science
notebooks and copy these two
questions, you may answer these at
home. But don’t leave it blank because
I’m going to collect your notebooks on
Friday.”

“Understood class?”
“Yes teacher”
Answer the following questions briefly
(2-3 sentences answers per item only)

• What are the

environmental factors
affecting the life cycle of
organisms?
• What will happen if the
environment cannot
provide the needs of the
different living organisms?

“Done class?”
“Done teacher”
V. Assignment

“For our assignment class, we will be

having a unified performance task
across 3 subjects (Science, Aral-pan
Paredes, Rachel Mae C. BECEd-3
ECE-ST
and English)

As for the Earth’s concern and theme

“Save the Earth” you must plant a tree
in your backyard. Take a video while
doing the task and you may invite your
family members to plant with you.
Afterwards, post the video in our
Facebook section page with the
caption “Unified Performance task 1
quarter 3” with the #SAVETHEEARTH
the deadline will be on Tuesday.

“Do you have clarifications for our

assignment” “None teacher”

VI. Closing Prayer

“To finally end our class, let’s have a

closing prayer”

“Close your eyes, bow down your

(Students demonstrate the task)
heads and clasp your hands together”

“God, thank you for the meaningful

lesson. You are wonderful and able to
provide everything that we need
including the wisdom. God, as we go
home today. Guide and protect each
one of us. Amen”

“Goodbye class, thank you for listening.

See you tomorrow!” “Thank you and Goodbye teacher!”
