Walking into the Texas A&M International University “TAMIU” student center you are

immediately greeted with a vast array of fliers promoting what TAMIU has to offer. Among the

fliers you can find TAMIU’s Dining meal plan flier. Everyone has seen a flier at one point of

their lives. It's a small piece of paper that can be easily carried around and placed anywhere.

Fliers should not be overlooked when it comes to their ability to publicize or inform the public

about information. Businesses and franchises can use this to their advantage when it comes to

advertising in a convenient yet effective way. TAMIU Dining Services went ahead and took

advantage of the ease of using fliers by creating a flier that has text information, is accessible,

and uses eye-catching imagery which was used on the flier published in September 2023.

TAMIU used the flier to inform and advertise to students what their meal plan offers.

TAMIU’s Dining flier informs TAMIU students about the TAMIU Dining meal plan. TAMIU’s

Dining flier went on and included catchy phrases such as “Only the Best , Tools To Thrive, All

For You, Choose Less Stress , Eating Made Easy, All-You-Care-To-Eat, and ON-THE-GO”.

TAMIU Dining also went into more detail describing the benefits and perks there are to choosing

their meal plan such as “Meal Swipes, Dining Dollars, and Flex Plans”. TAMIU Dining used

such information to target TAMIU students that may be struggling with financial issues , stress,

or may not have accessibility to food. By creating and publicizing a meal plan flier TAMIU
Dining was able to advertise its meal services and benefits by including a brief summary about

their meal plan and how it is beneficial for TAMIU students.

TAMIU Dinning’s meal plan flier can be found all across Texas A&M International University’s

campus and if you come across one you will find it’s an accessible form of receiving

information about the meal plan. TAMIU Dining placed a handful of their meal plan fliers in the

student center alongside with other fliers promoting financial aid to students. TAMIU Dining

services did this in order to promote their meal plan to a certain demographic such as students

utilizing financial aid to cover the cost of tuition and food . TAMIU Dining also placed multiple

fliers around TAMIU’s cafeteria to target TAMIU students who are quite frankly willing to

purchase food from TAMIU. By using a flier to promote and entice students with their meal plan,

TAMIU Dinning is able to access an array of areas around TAMIU’s campus because of the ease

that comes with using a flier. Fliers are small and compact and can be posted anywhere, placed

anywhere, and handed out easily. The TAMIU Dining’s flier accessibility to TAMIU students

endlessly allows for its meal plan to be promoted in an accessible way for students to get

informed about their meal plan.

The TAMIU Dining meal plan flier uses various eye-catching imagery that can be located on the

front and back of the flier which helps the reader visualize the meal plan. TAMIU Dining

provides imagery of fresh fruit as well as utensils which can be located on the front of the flier.

Using eye-catching imagery helps TAMIU students understand and comprehend the meal plan in

a quick and effective way by simply viewing the flier . On the back of the TAMIU Dining flier

you can find an image of a chef along with images of smiling students. The smiling students

along a chef image is used to correlate positive emotions connected to TAMIU and TAMIU

Dining staff. The TAMIU Dining flier also includes a fresh burger, fresh salad, chicken with
veggies, and fried rice. To help TAMIU students visualize the diverse meal options and the

quality of food their meal plan has to offer, it made sure to use eye-catching imagery. TAMIU

Dining is able to provide a positive visualization for TAMIU students about their meal plan. The

eye-catching imagery found on front and back of the TAMIU Dining meal plan helps convey the

main purpose of the TAMIU Dining meal plan. Using a flier allows TAMIU Dining to be

advertised to TAMIU students in an effective and rapid way.

When TAMIU Dining services created a flier promoting their meal plan they were able to

promote and advertise by including text information, using an accessible marketing tool, and

eye-catching imagery on its flier. Their flier provided text information that briefly summarized

what TAMIU Dining meal plan has to offer. In addition TAMIU’s meal plan flier was and

continues to be accessible to all TAMIU students around campus providing a quick and efficient

way to get informed about the meal plan. Along with that TAMIU Dining provided eye-catching

imagery to convey a message to TAMIU students to further promote their meal plan in a positive

way. In conclusion, fliers are an amazing way to efficiently promote and advertise.
