The Effect of High Classroom Temperature of Grade 12 Humss C students on their Academic

Performances.

Chapter 1

Introduction:The effect of high Classroom Temperature are currently seen in Dumalogdog National High
School,Its effect will impact to the senior high school Humss C students.

Background of the study: This study aimed the effect of High Classroom temperature in DNHS.Its
objective is to determine the effect of High Classroom temperature in Senior high School Humss C
students and intent to characterize it's effect to their academic performance.

The research was takes in DNHS school year 2023-2024,students are the main subject of this research,
and to determine that is High classroom temperature really affect of the Academic performance of
Humss C student.

Significance of the study:

This study is important and beneficial to the Student's to have awareness and parent's&

teachers to have concern regarding to the effect of High Classroom Temperature.

This study could help and used by the teacher's and staff's of DNHS on monitoring students to their
academic performance.

This study could help and used to DNHS community in order them to know what are the scenarios of
High Classroom temperature and it's affect of student's academic performance.

This could help parent to have awareness of their child and for them to help cope aid by several ways.

Significance of the study:

The importance of this study is to aim the effect of High Classroom Temperature to the students
Academic performance and teachers student and parents being aware of the effect of High Classroom
Temperature.

The main beneficiary of this study is the students for them to know and have better understanding of
high classroom temperature and it's affect to their academic performance.

The Second Benefiary of this are the parent's for them being aware of their child and help them cope
and motivates them especially to their academic performance of their child.
The Third Benefiacy are the teacher/staff of DNHS for them being aware of their students and for them
to help and implement solution.

As a researcher also this research also beneficial to us because we gain more knowledge and provide
better understanding about this issue.

For the future researcher.This will serve as their guide for them to have knowledge,information about
this research study.

Background of the study.

Hotter days increase student's risk to their academic performance in the classroom, increasing warm
temperature can affect student's and can reduce their performance in the class,its hard for them to
fucos on,they get distracted and can't think or process properly.High Classroom temperature can also
reduce the ability of a student's to process and soak up information,it can affect their learning
potential,ability to learn and function and student's may feel uncomfortable and distracted that can
affect their ability to learn and to their academic performance.

However high classroom temperature currently seen here in Dumalogdog National high School, some
student's of Grade 11 humss C experience warm temperature in the classroom reason that affect their
academic performance in class.

Statement Of The Problem.

This study aim the factor that high classroom temperature affect the academic performance of Humss C
student's in Dumalogdog National High School.This research study intended to determined the effect of
High Classroom Temperature to the student of Humss C's academic performance.

This research seek to answer the following:

1.What are the effect of High Classroom Temperature to the academic performance of Humss C
student's?

2.What are the factor that affect academic performance of Humss C student's?

3.Is there negative effect of High classroom temperature to the academic performance of Humss C
student's?

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of High classroom temperature to the Humss C
student's academic performance.

Statement 1
Seek to preserve and provide to know the factor of high classroom temperature to the students
academic performance.

Statement 2

Seek to provide knowledge and information that affect academic performance of a student's.

Statement 3

Provide awareness and reminder to the parents,teacher and also students to learn and cope with it.

Problem and Scope

The result that high classroom temperature can affect students ability to learn and function,rooms
temperature played such an important role suggesting that may be discomfort and affect students
memory and learning capabilities as the brain become increasingly focused on maintaining the body's
temperature,distracts from concentration.Room temperature can affect students learning potential,and
can reduce ability to soak up information,can affect their ability to learn and function. Uncomfortable
temperature have a negative affect on students achievements and performance,increasing high
temperature indeed affect students ability to fucos and learn and lead to lower academic rates.
Interfere high classroom temperature has a high proportion of students felt tired and had low
concentration leading to slower reaction on assessment,activity and discussion make it harder them to
learn.

High classroom temperature makes it harder for students to learn and perform,poor academic
performances and hard for them to fucos and participate in activities,oral recitation,reporting and
assessments,high classroom temperature leading to students to slower during discussion of a
teacher,hotter classroom affect students leading to diminish students performance and make them
uncomfortable,difficult to fucos on lesson or schoolwork,it hard for them to soak up information or
lesson or study,students hard to concentrate on learning when temperature is high.No one wants to feel
uncomfortable in their classroom,but does discomfort lead to an impact on notable effect on students
academic performance,high classroom temperature disruptive factor for students learning reduces
achievements rates,reduces students performance they not lend to participate in any activities or do
their assignment schoolworks,affect ability to learn in undermined when classrom are too hot explain
persistent gaps in performance between students,students tend to not listen on discussion,because
theyre only minding how hot the temperature they felt.When classroom gets too hot It prevent students
to participate,focus,and concentrate on their studies.

Scope and Delimitation

This study research was conducted in Dumalogdog National high School,the said study was fucosed only
the effect of High Classroom temperature to the students academic performance.High classroom
temperature are common problem that usually happen during summer days month of May and June.
The respondents of these study were selected of 13 students who willingly to participate and answer the
given questionnaire.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

High classroom temperature is common issue that students face in this summer day according to article
stated below that warm temperature more likely affected students academic performance,it stated the
fact that warm temperature cause negative impact to students academic performance.

According to article entitled:The school year is getting hotter. Published in September,26,2022.

As climate change accelerates temperature will continue to rise well into the school year."School are not
prepared for the extreme heat,our most vulnerable students are the most vulnerable to extreme heat."
Said Jonathan Klein, In New York City high school many public school classrooms across the island do not
have air conditioning, making it difficult for both teachers and students when the temperature are
high, further more high temperature may impact students to their school learning, productivity and
performance. -Paul B. Tchounwo. (2019)

Manila-philippines shortened teaching time and smaller class size to address the extreme heat during
summer. A huge majority of students are finding it difficult to concentrate on their studies due
to"summer heat" According to poll 87% of teacher said children are having difficulty focusing on their
lesson."kapag nag-lelesson po kami Hindi masyadong nag coconcentrate ang mga bata sa init." Said

METHODOLOGY

This study research present research design,population of sample,research instrument,validation of


procedures,data gathering procedures,data processing procedures and statistical statement.
Research Design

This study research used descriptive method of research.A survey research is conducted in this
study.The survey design is used to collect. Data illustrated the effect of high classroom temperature to
the students academic performance.The information is collected through interview and survey
questionnaire distributed from the participants.

Population of sample

This study has a total of 13 respondents age 17 years above a students came from Dumalogdog National
high School.Purposely sampling method is used to select participants who answer the following survey
questionnaire.

Research Instrument

To gather much information and used of descriptive method. This method include the use of tag
questions answerable by Yes or No. A questionnaire was used as the main data gathering instrument.
The questionaire conclude questions related in the research.

Validation of procedures

The researcher furnish their own set of questionaire. The reference idea article on the internet.Data
gathering procedure preceding the actual distribution of research instrument.A letter of permission was
give to the Practical Research ll teacher of DNHS.Mrs Sara Gien Bagarinao.The questionaire were
personally distributed to and gathered from the chosen respondents,and the final responses for each
item were obtained presented and tabulated.

Data Gathering procedure

To gather data the researcher ask for technical assistance and guidance of the Practical Research ll
teacher allowing her to read the needed data. The researcher also made to inform the purpose of the
study.The research instrument will be recorded by the researcher to have valid and reliable
information,the data will be illustrated, analyzed and interpret according to the problem that deal with
this study.

Data Processing procedure

After gathering the data.The researcher will tabulated answers and information that researcher
gathered from the respondents and process the data according to the aged category of the participants
that would make the analysis of data easily to understand.

There are 15 questions that are given to the respondents.After collecting the data the researcher
stabilized the answers.This questionaire is aim to find out the effect of high classroom temperature to
the students academic performance.

Analysis of Data

By the interview and survey questionnaire data were analyzed by the researcher to obtain which
respondents have constant answer in the survey questions that were given to the participants.Whereas
the data from the survey questionnaire illustrate that High Classroom Temperature has a significant
effect of students academic performance.

interpretation of Data

After the collection method the researcher interpret the results to verify that high classroom
temperature has its affect to the students academic performance.However the data clearly stated that
there a significant effect of high classroom temperature to the students academic performance.From
the data that researcher gathered indeed answer yes.It is clearly illustrated that high classroom
temperature has its really significant effect to the students academic performance.

Chapter 5

Summary of findings,Conclusions and Recommendations

Summary of Findings

The main objective of this research study is to clarify the effect of high classroom temperature to
student academic performance.

The subject of this study consist of 13 selected respondence aged above 17 who are willingly participate
from Humss C Senior High School students of Dumalogdog National High School.

This study included purposely and selected participants.

This study used descriptive method and survey questionnaire.

The result of this study manifest that high classroom temperature affect the students academic
performance.

Conclusions

This study focuses the effect of high classroom temperature to the students academic performance.This
research fond that high classroom temperature existing here in DNHS it has significant effect of student
performance,during classes students find it hard to fucos, concentrate and feel uncomfortable and
affect their ability to learn,participate and soak up information.It is quit evident that increasing warm
temperature has significant effect of student academic performance based on the result.

Recommendations
The research want to recommend this to the school,teacher,staff of DNHS to find solutions and
addressing this kind of problem that may face to the students.

This also recommend this research to the parents to have awareness of their child to help and motivates
and cope with it.

And lastly they highly recommend this research paper to the future researcher who has similar concern
about this kind of issue.

Result of finding

Ha:There are significant effect of high classroom temperature to the academic performance of grade 12 Humss C
students.

The independent variable serves as the factor while dependent variable is the outcome.The
independent variable of this study is High classroom temperature and the dependent variable is the
effect of high classroom temperature to the students academic performance.From the given conceptual
framework it is now easy to determine it's factor and outcome of high classroom temperature.

The said result if findings stated based on the data that researcher gathered that high classroom
temperature has its significance effect of students academic performance of grade 12 Humss C.It is
clearly stated that the effect of high classroom temperature to the students academic performance is
really happened and existing here in DNHS.

Definition of Terms

Students- This refers to the students of Humss C that is used as the subject of this study.

High Classroom Temperature - This refers to the factor that can affect of students academic
performance.

Academic Performance - This refers to the affected portion of High classroom temperature.

Dumalogdog National High School - This refers to the place of Dumalogdog Sindangan Zamboanga Del
Norte where we conduct our study.
