Display screen and control panel

• Move between groups of controls under each tab using the function keys or click on them.

• Move between controls within a group or target numbers using the up and down cursor keys
or click on them.

• Increase and decrease values using the left and right cursor keys or drag them with the
touchpad.

• Select a target using its number or the ENT key, or click on it.

• Use the touchpad to point, click or drag.

Choose the target you wish to track and adjust settings to improve target discrimination.

Observations seen by the Fanbeam sensor are displayed on the bird’s-eye view (BEV) using the
following symbols:

× Rejected
observation
An observation which has been rejected by one or more filters.

Accepted An observation which has passed all the filters, but not been selected
observation as the target.

Tracked The tracked target is shown as a circle with optional direction arrow
target and positional trail.

Observations that pass all the filters appear as numbered boxes in the BEV and items in the list.
The target to track can be selected from the observations that pass the filters.

Select the target you want to track (four different ways):

1. Press the number of the target on the control panel keypad.

2. Move the display focus onto the list item and press the ENT key.

3. Click on the list item.

4. Click on the target on the BEV.

Controlling filters and the tracking window

The orange dotted filter line in the BEV can be positioned so that it is between the values of the
target you want to track and the others.

Change the values in the control box to adjust the filter line.

Altering the beam’s speed and tilt


• Move the slider left or right with the cursor keys or mouse.

• The smaller number shows the number that will be used at the next sweep of the beam.
The larger number shows the number currently in use.

Speed Tilt

• F4 when scanning. • F3 when scanning.

• F4 when tracking (but disabled). • F6 when tracking.
